This episode starts off with Finn talking about how he was hungry a week earlier and since his mom wasn’t home he decided to make a Grilled cheese sandwich on the George Foreman Grill.  When he opened the grill he noticed that the burn marks on the bread resembled Jesus. Since he was still hungry he cut the sandwich in half preserving the Jesus imaged side while eating the other piece. Even though he’s not really religious, he decided to throw caution to the wind and pray to the Grilled Cheesus.  He prayed for the team to win their first football game and in return he will make sure that the Glee club honors Him. Guess what? Yep, he uses Artie as a battering ram and they win the game.

At Kurt’s house… Kurt brings his dad some breakfast at the shop. It’s all healthy as opposed to his usual breakfast of champions, a coke and 2 slim jims. Kurt then lectures him about being healthy. His dad then  reminds him of Friday night dinner is going to change because Finn’s mom has to work the night shift. Kurt makes up another excuse as to why he can’t attend.  His dad then lectures him about the tradition of the Friday night dinners and how traditions are sacred. Kurt still doesn’t want to come because of his prior plans. His dad then tells him that he’s disappointed in him.

In the choir room… As the bell rings Finn decides that he has something to say. He gets up in front of the group and begins to tell them about his newfound love for Jesus.  He wants the group to pay tribute to Jesus this week. Kurt is against it because he feels that they don’t think highly of gays or women. Mercedes and Quinn think it’s a great idea.  Finn looks and thinks that Puck has a problem with Jesus but he doesn’t. Puck’s issue is with people that use “J-Money” to cramp everyone else’s style. He goes on to make a great point that true spirituality is about enjoying the life that you have been given but ruins it when he says he sees Jesus every time he makes out with a new chick. When Rachel calls his last idea stupid, he then decides to show her that it is not stupid by singing “Only The Good Die Young” by Billy Joel. This continues his streak of only singing songs by Jewish artists. To appease everyone Will decides that the selections don’t have to be about Jesus but spirituality.

At Mr. Hummel’s shop… Kurt’s dad is talking with a customer when he begins to have some chest pains and collapses on the floor. Emma is alerted at the school and she runs to tell Will. They find Kurt in his French class and inform him of what is going on.

At the Hospital… Kurt, Will and Emma are nervously waiting in the lobby when the doctor comes in to deliver the news. His father had a heart attack and is in a coma.  They go in to see him laid out. Will and Emma give Kurt a moment alone with his father. Kurt then holds his father’s hand and tells him to squeeze his hand if he can hear him while fighting back his tears.

Later that night… Finn is once again praying to the Grilled Cheesus. This time he asks that He do him a favor since he’s dedicating a week of his musical life to him, and let him touch Rachel’s boobs.

The next day in class… As they all file into the choir room they each give Kurt well wishes and condolences. Brittany even gives him a book report that she did on heart attacks so that he can give it to the doctor. It was knocked down a letter grade because she wrote it entirely in crayon.  Finn comes storming in wondering what happened and why he was the last to know about Kurt’s dad. Finn is upset because that is the closest to a dad that he feels he will ever have and that he thought that they were sort of a family. he was more upset because he found out from overhearing it in gym class.  Will comes in to start class and is interrupted by Mercedes. She goes on about how she has been struggling with what to say to Kurt about his situation all day.  she just couldn’t seem to find the right words to say so she looks to music. With the help of Tina and Quinn she performs “I Look To You“  by Whitney Houston. After he beautiful performance he thanks her and then tells her that he doesn’t believe in God. They are all shocked. He thinks that God is like Santa Claus for adults and kind of a jerk. He thinks this because he feels that God made him gay and then has his followers mock and pick on him everyday.  He then tells them that he appreciates his thoughts but does not want his prayers.

In Principal Figgins’ Office… Sue ratted Will out for the Jesus week tribute and wants him to stop. Principal Figgins thinks that children should be able to profess whatever religion they choose. According to Sue this is only allowed at the BET awards but not school.

Later that night… Finn and Rachel are talking in his room. Apparently his newfound love for Jesus has affected her. When she turns 25 and has won a bunch of Tony’s and is ready to have intercourse so that she can have babies that they will be raised Jewish. He agrees.  They begin kissing and as they lay down on the bed, she allows him to touch her boob. The second prayer has been answered.

In Sue’s office… She is trying to get the scoop out of  Brittany and Juggs the clown (Santana) about what’s going on in the Glee club. They tell her about how Kurt is bummed about what happened. Brittany made him a card that says ” heart attacks are just  from loving too much”. She finds out from them that Kurt is not into God.  Next thing Kurt is in her office and she is asking him about how his father is doing.  She wants him to file a complaint against Will for trying to inject Jesus and religion into his curriculum. Since she can’t go to the school board to complain without a student she asks him to come with her.

The next day… Emma barges into Sue’s office while she is on the phone with Secretary of State Hilary Clinton. She goes off on Sue about how she is using Kurt during his situation with his dad to get back at Will. She asks her to tell her what horrible thing happened in her life to make her such a tyrant. So Sue begins to tell her that when she was a little girl she looked up to her big sister. As she got older she noticed that people always picked on her or laughed at her. She preyed every night that she would get better but nothing changed. She continued to pray but after a while she thought that no one was listening. She believes that the praying and  all is just a fantasy and to ask someone to believe in it is cruel. She thinks that it is arrogant to have someone believe in God and if they don’t then they are going to Hell. Then after that she kicks Emma out of her office.

In the choir room… Tina is complaining that the last week they were too sexy and now too religious, they can’t win. Brittany says that now she knows what Miley (as in Cyrus) feels like. They are all upset because they can’t sing the songs that they chose and blame Kurt because he sided with Sue and went to the board.

In the locker room… Finn is once again praying to Grilled Cheesus.  This time he wants to be starting quarterback again so that he can be most popular that way he can spread the word of Jesus to a larger audience.  As he’s praying Puck comes in. He asks him not to tell anyone. Puck then tells him that he went to temple and prayed for Kurt’s dad then asks him what he prays for.

Later that night… Rachel and Finn are at the park because she doesn’t want anything to come between her and God. She then lights a candle and sings “Papa Can You Hear Me?” as sung by Barbara Streisand in Yentl. She is suddenly transported from the park to the hospital room as she now serenades Kurt’s father.  The other members are by his bedside while Kurt looks on from outside of the room. Kurt then comes into the room to stop them from praying for his dad. He has invited a Sikh to come in to perform acupuncture in hopes of stimulating his dad’s brain.

At the football game… During the huddle Finn gives some advice to Sam on a play and they decide to go with it. Coach Bestie automatically realizes that they changed the play. Sam ends up getting hurt because Finn said that the cornerback had been cheating or sliding right but during the play he somehow ended up on the left side of the field.. The cornerback tackles Sam and dislocates his shoulder making Finn the starting Quarterback once again. Third prayer answered.

In the choir room… The guys are congratulating Finn on winning his starting job as well as his second win.  Kurt comes in to share some news. he thanks everyone for their kind emails but his dad’s condition remains the same. He feels he needs to express himself so he has prepared a song to perform. He then goes on to tearfully and emotionally sing “I Wanna Hold Your Hand” by The Beatles.

In the hall… Mercedes comes to Kurt to tell him that she feels that he is closing his friends off. She then invites him to church service with her because they are going to dedicate the service to his dad. At first he declines but then reconsiders.

In the counselor’s office. Finn is confessing to Miss Pillsbury that he is the reason that Sam got hurt. He goes on to tell her about how he prayed to the Grilled Cheesus for three things and they all came true. She looks totally shocked as he tells her about Grilled Cheesus and the special powers. She then justifies why the three things happened. One, they won because they have an actual coach this year. Two, Rachel was emotionally open because of all the emotional talk that they were doing and let him touch her. Three, Sam got hurt because the linebacker that hit him is on steroids and got expelled because they found out that he was 23 years old.  She then tells him that the Grilled Cheesus has no special powers and that god doesn’t speak through it. He is crushed. As he walks back to class he sings “Losing My Religion” by REM. He ends the song back in the choir room.  All the others are shocked because he is allowed to sing a song about losing his religion at school but they can’t sing about having religion while at school.  Finn then goes on to explain that earlier he thought that God was looking over him but now he’s not sure.

At Mercedes’ Church… Kurt and Mercedes walk in and she escorts him to his seat before joining the choir on the stage.  She then announces to the church that Kurt’s dad is not doing well and that she would like to pray for Kurt and his dad. They dedicate “Bridge Over Troubled Water” by Aretha Franklin. This touching selection moves the congregation as well as Kurt.

At the Nursing Home… Sue is playing checkers with her big sister and asks if she believes in God. When she says that she doesn’t her sister tells her that God never makes mistakes and that she will pray for Sue.

At the hospital… Kurt is talking to his father about a flashback that he had while in church with Mercedes. He apologizes for not letting the group pray for him and that even though he doesn’t believe in God he believes in his dad and what they have. it’s sacred to him. as he begins to cry he grabs his father’s hand. His father squeezes it back and comes out of his coma. The final selection for the night is “One of Us“ by Joan Osborne.  The group performs this in the auditorium as Sue looks on from the back. Will tells her the the Kids really wanted to do the song and asks if she plans to report him.  She says no, ending this week’s episode on a good note.

So this episode begins with New Directions in the choir room and Will beginning a new lesson on music. This time he wants to do easy listening which is not well received by the group. Adult contemporary is not their thing. Kurt then tells him that there is a facebook group with all of 5 members that wants them to perform a song by Britney Spears at the fall assembly. Will is not cool with this because he does not think that she is a good role model.  The others try to explain to him why they like her. Brittany doesn’t want to do Britney Spears because her name is also Brittany Spears. You see her middle name is Susan and her last name is Pierce, Brittany S. Pierce or Brittany Spierce. She then goes on to say how she has lived her whole life in Britney’s shadow and that she will never be that talented or famous. She sees the Glee club as a place where she can escape the torment.

After class… Will goes to talk to Emma about Brittney Spears and she agrees with the kids that Brittney is a good role model. She then goes on to say how Will is uptight and her new boyfriend Carl is helping her loosen up. The other day while grocery shopping he told her to buy both the Red and Green Grapes and then later they mixed them both together and ate them all at once.  As she is going on about the story Carl (John Stamos) comes in unexpectedly. He has come to take Emma to lunch. He greets Will and before they can get into a conversation his phone buzzes with a message that he has to perform a root canal on some kid. As a sign of Will loosening up he invites Carl to come speak to the glee club.

In the Hall… Finn is at his locker when two guys from the football team come up and snatch his Letterman Jacket away from him. They then rip it in half infuriating Finn to the point where he swings on one of them. As they begin posturing before they fight Artie comes up to apologize about getting him kicked off the team. They decide not to fight Finn because Artie is in the way and they can’t fight a crippled kid because of their “moral code”. Coach Beistly looks on from a distance.

At Glee practice… Carl is giving a demonstration on brushing properly and has them all chew a capsule that will turn any of the plaque that they may have missed blue. Everyone’s teeth remain white except for Rachel, Artie and Brittany. Rachel is totally embarrassed by this and hides her mouth, Artie says that he can’t see the mirror so he didn’t know and poor Brittany doesn’t brush at all and rinses her mouth out with soda after she eats because she was “pretty sure that Dr. Pepper was a dentist”. Carl sets her up with some deep cleaning.

At the dentist… Brittany tells Carl that the room looks like the one on that spaceship where she got probed. Carl goes on to tell her that she has the worst set of teeth that he has ever seen. She has cavities on every single tooth in her mouth.  He puts her under some general anesthesia, turns on some Pandora internet radio and begins to clean. The station begins to play “Slave” and Brittany begins to drift off and dream that she is really Britney Spears while acting out the video.  This is by far the best performance of the night! She can really sing and dance! I mean she killed this performance.

In the hall… Finn and Rachel are walking down the hall. Finn is still a little down because he is no longer on the football team and Rachel seems happy because now she is the only thing that matters and makes him feel good in his life. And she admits this to him. Santana walks by and says that she dresses like one of the bait girls from ‘To catch a predator’ with Brittany chiming in that she is more talented than Rachel. Finn begins to laugh but Rachel wanted him to defend her. He walks off and says that Santana is right and he’s just trying to be honest. Which is what she said to him a few seconds earlier when she admitted to not caring that he wasn’t’ on the football team anymore.

The next day.., Brittany is back at the dentist to get the rest of the 68 cavities in her mouth taken care of and this time she brings Santana. Even though Santana’s teeth are perfect she wants to go under anesthesia like Brittany did. Carl objects at first but then agrees and only  does a deep whitening for her. while under the anesthesia they both have Britney Spears fantasies. This time they perform “Me Against The Music“. At the end of the fantasy Britney Spears appears and tells the Glee Brittany that she is really sweet.

At Glee rehearsal… Will is still going on about Christopher Cross when Brittany interrupts him to say that from now on she demands to have every solo in glee club. Everyone is shocked! She tells of her Britney fantasy and that how she is more talented then everyone. “It’s Brittany… Bitch”. After Will again declines Kurt goes on a tantrum about how Will is not letting them do something that they really want to do. Will again, tells him to stop but Kurt continues and then ends his tirade by yelling that he needs to learn to  loosen up! Will calmly and shockingly tells him to meet him at the principal’s office.

At the dentist… Carl is giving Will an exam and they decide to have a talk about what’s going on. Carl tells him to back off and asks him how it would feel if he did the same thing to him. He agrees to back off. Carl tells he that he needs to loosen up and gives him a piece of candy. he then tells him that he was once just as uptight until one day he decided to let loose and it changed his life.  As Will is leaving he sees Rachel in the waiting room. She is reading the Unauthorized biography of Britney Spears and drinking herbal tea in preparation of her appointment.  When she is put under the anesthetic her Britney fantasy is of her singing “ Hit Me Baby One More Time“.

The next day…  Rachel comes down the hall. She is dressed as Britney Spears was in the “One More Time” video and is getting all kinds of attention from other guys. Finn doesn’t like it because he feels that it isn’t fair that gets all of this attention yet  she made him feel bad for wanting to play football.

Outside in the parking lot… Will is showing Emma his new car that he bought as a way to show that he is a free man! Only thing is, it’s the same car that Carl has. As he takes her for a spin, Terri shows up in the path! She tells him that he can’t buy anymore big ticket items because when he comes to his senses and they get back together he doesn’t want him to have blown all of their savings.

In Glee rehearsal… Santana gives Rachel a compliment on her new ‘style’ and she explains that Britney Spear’s music helped to feel more confident. As she is droning on about it Sue comes to have a word with Will.

In the Teacher’s lounge… Sue explains that she heard that they are doing a Britney Spears number.  She doesn’t like it and she wants him to stop them. Once he sees how much Sue doesn’t like this he puts a little smirk on his face.

In the hall… Britney Spears make a quick appearance as a Cheerio talking to Brittany and Tina and Artie rolls up. She tells Tina that she is a fool for breaking up with him. Tina agrees and begins to apologize. She’s sorry but he’s stronger. This leads to Artie performing “Stronger“, on the football field in a uniform with Finn and Puck, while he’s still in the wheelchair. they inter-cut between shots of him performing on the field and working out in the weight room. Apparently during this time he was under the anesthesia as well because after the song he awakes in the doctor’s office.

In the locker room… Finn is getting ready to run some laps so that he can get into shape in order to get back on the team and Artie wants to go as well. When he tells him no Artie tells him of his vision at the dentist office. He is still delusional enough to think that he can be on the team. Out of no where Coach comes out and puts Artie on the team.

In the Choir room…  Artie and Finn are telling about how they are back on the team when Will walks in to give them some good news. He has decided to let them do Britney Spears at the homecoming assembly, not only that but he is going to perform with them. a look of utter shock and disgust is on everyone’s face.

In the locker room… Finn is getting ready dressed when Rachel walks in. She tells him how she respects his needs and will do anything to make him feel safe and happy. She only says that because she wants him to quit football. She only thinks that the relationship will work is if they are both losers. He assures her that during the first game he will score a touchdown then point to her so that everyone knows that she is his girlfriend. This is not good enough. She wants him to choose between her and football.

At the Assembly… Will sees Emma and walks up to her and tells her that he is doing the number with the girls. Becky runs up to Sue and tells her that she just found out that they are doing Britney Spears, putting Sue on high alert. Principal Figgins opens the assembly with an announcement about tetanus shots. He introduces the New directions as fresh off of their last place finish at regionals which gets him a sad clap before they come out to perform”Toxic“. This performance whips the crowd into a frenzy! This is the second best performance of the night. Jacob the gossip blogger gets so wound up that he grabs the butt of who he thinks is a girl in front of him only it’s a guy. The guy turns around and punches him. This prompts Sue to think that its a “Britney Spears riot”! She pulls the fire alarm just as New Directions finishes the song. The bell sends all the kids scattering which truly begins a riot of teens running up and down the school halls.

In the teacher’s lounge… The next day Sue comes up to Will to let him know that her spinal cord was ruptured during a ‘sex riot’. he tells her that she caused the riot and not the Britney Spears music. She hires Gloria Alred as her lawyer as she plans to sue him for damages. Next he tries to explain to Emma that he knows how it is inappropriate to do the music with the kids. She explains that she just wants him to relax not change who he is.

In the hall… Quinn comes up to Finn and says that they should be back together now that she is the head cheerleader and he’s back on the team. He turns her down and asks her to respect his relationship with Rachel.  When they part she goes to Rachel and tells her what he said and congratulates her for winning him. Rachel put Quinn up to say this to see what Finn’s response would be.

In the choir room… Will comes into the room and Rachel has a song that she wants them to share. He thinks that it is a Britney Spears song and stops her to tell them that Britney is cool and all but is just not what they are about. She actually has a different song in mind. This song is an adult contemporary from their original assignment before the whole Britney thing. She dedicates the number to Finn and admits that she was wrong for trying to control him. She then begins to perform the final song of the night,  “The Only Exception” by Paramore.

So last season there was a whole heap of things going on. Quinn had a baby, Rachel was dating the lead singer from the rival group who then joined their group only to try and tear it apart. Sue Sylvester hated them  but in the end grew to somewhat love them as she voted for them to place first in regionals. Will got divorced, fell for Ms. Emma only to have that relationship fizzle and fall apart.  The group has been repeatedly threatened by the principal of being disbanded only for Sue to save them. I think that’s about it so let’s jump right into this new season shall we:

This season opens with Jacob shooting a video of “Glee’s Big Gay Summer’. First up is Rachel and Finn. She is fixing Finn’s clothes as Jacob asks about rumors that she is difficult to work with. She then hijacks the interview with her controlling ways just to say that she is controlling.

Next on the list is Mr. Scheuster. Jacob catches him in the choir room and asks him how he feels about the latest rumor that their song selection sounds like it comes from a Drag Queen’s Ipod.  After he gets over the initial shock his response is that he tries to do something for everybody with 25% show tunes, 25% hip hop, 25% classical rock before Jacob interrupts with “100% gay”!

After that, there’s Puck (he cut the Mohawk) he hits him with the baby issue saying that the rumor is that he spent his summer pool cleaning money on a vasectomy. he admits that it is true. He then ends the interview when it is rumored that he was suffering from depression because he isn’t over Quinn.

After humiliating Puck it’s on to Quinn and the two ditsy cheerleaders. He asks Quinn how her life has changed since she gave birth to her bastard child? She says that she’s happy to be back and less hormonal so no more crying.

He tracks down Tina and the other Asian kid *That’s his name on the show “other Asian Kid”. Remember first season?* and asks about the rumor that they are dating.  They get offended and say that its racist to think that just because they are Asian,then they are seen holding hands as they turn the corner. Coming from around the same corner is a dejected Artie as he has apparently seen Tina and her new boyfriend.

Kids apparently don’t like when Mr Schu raps and have started a forum on Jacob’s blog about it. When he catches up with Kurt but he refuses to answer any questions or comment. After returning from hiding in the bathroom, Kurt  has a message for the people that have stuff to say about him on the blog. Man up and say it to his face. As soon as he finishes he gets hit with a cherry Slur-pee right in the face!!

And all that was in the first 4 minutes!!!! This is going to be a long episode *Takes a sip of Moscato then cracks knuckles* Okay let’s get started!

So this episode is all about auditioning some new members for the Glee club. Opening to a wall filled with different clubs and activites with people signing up for different things. No one has signed the New Directions audition list with is adjacent to a large sign that reads “CHEERIOS TRYOUTS: NO FATTIES”.  Sue walks up and asks Will why he’s so glum as they stand back and watch the kids sign up for various events.  she asks if he is worried that no one has signed up. Apparently you don’t have to really audition for the Glee club just sign up. Sue thinks that is wherein the problem lies. No competition. The girls trying out for Cheerios wraps around the corner. She then tells him as her old school skytel pager goes off to alert her that it’s time to feed her gimp that she likes being friends with him because he makes destroying Glee club easy because he’s doing a great job of it all by himself. They then go in to see Principal Figgins.

In Principal Figgins office… Sue is heated because she has to cut her beloved Cheerios budget, and the Glee budget is getting cut by 10% as well. As they are giving it to Figgins the newest member of the faculty says something.  Apparently the best way to get alumni donations is through a solid athletic department so the money from their programs will be transferred to the athletic department. Sue asks who this person is and SHE responds* as she stands toe to toe with Sue* that she is the new Football coach, Shannon Beiste *pronounced Beast, mainly because she looks like a beast* Apparently Coach Tunaka had a nervous breakdown. Sue tells her that “A female football coach is like a male nurse; a sin against nature” and no one comes into her house and steals. Seems Coach Beiste is not one to back down from a challenge as she responds with “do not get in a panther’s business lady, you’re all coffee and no omelet”. That doesn’t make any sense to Sue. Will then redirects them back to the topic at hand, but she is adamant that it should have been more than just a 10% cut.*She is going to be a worthy opponent for Sue*

Later in the Choir room… Will is reading some comments about them from Jacob’s blog like “Glee is a giant ball of suck”. Kurt and the others stop him and let him know that they don’t care what the others think of them. They feel that they are a family. The problem is that they are close but no one wants to join. They are down one person because some kid named Matt transfered and now they only have 11 people. In order for them to beat Vocal Adrenaline in Nationals he wants a larger group. Rachel then jumps up and agrees with Mr. Scheu by repeating everything that he just said *dork*. Finn *of course* agrees and falls in line behind Rachel *no surprise there* Their plan is to show the other students how cool it is to be down with them and go to nationals in New York by doing the song of the year “Empire State of Mind” by Jay Z and Alicia Keys New Directions style. *Umm this was one of the wackest performances I have seen them do! It’s right up there with Kurt’s “House is not a home” from last season! I’m just sayin’* the best and most believable part was Puck and Mercedes. these two killed, the others *in my Borat voice* ehhh not so much. Okay it wasn’t the worst I’ve ever heard but it was not the best. I’m a former Show Choir kid so I kinda know how different it sounds when you rearrange a hip hop or R&B song. There’s really no way to do it right without it sounding corny or weird.  so anyway, after this stirring *insert sarcasm* performance still no  one signs up.  There are some promising kids nodding their heads but still no takers.

In Sue’s Office… Will walks in to talk to her about the sign in sheet being defaced and they end up hatching a plan to get rid of Coach Beiste.

Finn is in the locker room posting some Glee club audition posters that he designed. As he was posting them he hears the new transfer student singing Poison’s hit “ Every Rose Has It’s Thorn“. Finn leaves the locker room without saying anything because, well the guy was naked in the shower.

Rachel is posting flyers for auditions in the bathroom when a young girl walks in.  She approaches her because she saw her singing along in the courtyard when they were performing. She begins talking to her but when the young lady asks her what she says *because she has her Ipod on* Rachel assumes that this Asian girl doesn’t speak English and begins speaking slowly and louder in broken English like the people in the Chinese restaurant when you place your order. *why do people do that? I hate that!* Turns out that she is an exchange student from the Philipines and that she speaks perfect English. Rachel encourages her to try out so that she can stand in the background and sway while Rachel does solo’s. After her racial epitaph she walks away to hang some more flyers when sunshine

The show opens with Will in the hall and Sue Sylvester passes by him telling him that she’ll see him on Saturday because she is a judge.  They then go to Principal Figgin’s office to argue about it. There is nothing Prinicpal Figgins can do because the show choir committee picks the judges.  She gets to judge because she’s a ‘celebrity’.  Even though she’s a judge, they still need to win at regionals or the group is finished.

At Mr. Schuester’s Apartment… Quinn is daydreaming and remembering back to when her and Puck got together and how he said that he had protection but obviously either didn’t use it or didn’t use it correctly because she got pregnant.  Mr. Schuester walks up to her interrupting  her vision to ask her if she’s alright.  He has invited the group over to have a first annual New Directions set list nomination party.  The guys are really bummed out because they know that Coach Sylvester is a judge and she told them at Cheerios practice that she’s going to crush them.  Tina begins to cry and talk about how she loves them and feels special for being a part of something special.  They then go on to talk about how it’s all over because Glee club will be over and they will each go their separate ways.  Instead of a set list nomination party it turned into a crying session where they just each went around the room and talked about what they loved about the time they shared together.

At school… Will is in Emma’s office telling her about what happened the night before with the set list party and how it took everything in him not to cry right along with them.  Emma asks what exactly he wants from her.  She recalls back to when he wanted to quit teaching and become an accountant but she showed him a video of him singing and he said that it was the happiest moment of his life.  She goes on to cheer him up a bit but then when he says that he’s missed her she tells him that she’s been seeing someone.  That someone is her dentist Carl Howell.  Will thanks her for the help and walks out disappointed.

Driving on the highway… As Will is driving home he is switching radio stations when Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” comes on the radio.  He pulls over and overcome with emotion begins to cry.

The next day at school… Rachel is somberly walking down the hall when Finn stops her and says that they need to talk.  he tells her that She’s their leader and that the two of them are going to fix things and they will go on to regionals and win.  After he finishes she surprisingly kisses him and begins to smile.

In the choir room… Mr. Schuester writes the word “JOURNEY” on the board and begins to reminisce about how it was when they first began up until where they are now.  He talks about how he wanted to quit at one point but they brought him back with ‘Don’t Stop Believing”, they decided to do a Journey Medley.

At Regionals… Will walks in to see them introducing the judges, Josh Groban, Olivia Newton-John, News Anchor Rod Remington, and Coach Sue Sylvester.  The first group, Oral Intensity is announced.  They cut to backstage to hear Puck and the others complaining because they performed a mash-up of Josh Groban and Olivia Newton-John because someone tipped them off to who the judges are.  They are bummed because they feel they can’t win but Mr. Schuester assures them that they have something that the others don’t and that they can still win.  After this, they get set to perform. Before Finn goes on stage Rachel tells him to break a leg, and he tells her that he loves her. They then go out and perform “Faithfully” by Journey.  They then break into “Anyway You Want It“, and end their set with “Don’t Stop Believing“.

Backstage… As they are celebrating and feeling great about their performance. Quinn’s mom comes up to her. When he asks if something was wrong with dad, she says that she just wanted to see her perform and that she was wonderful and how sorry she was for missing the other performances.  Her mother has left her father because he was having an affair with some ‘tattooed freak’.  she wants Quinn to come home.  When she asks Quinn to say something she says her water just broke.

Back on stage… next up is Vocal Adrenaline.  They are performing “Bohemian Rhapsody” By Queen with Jesse St. James as the lead. as they perform they cut to scenes of Quinn being rushed to the hospital by the group.  When she gets there she ask s that Mercedes come with her as the others wait nervously.  They show Quinn pushing and in loads of pain and Puck looking on confused and scared as she yells at him that he sucks!!  The rest of the group paces the floor in the waiting room and look on in anticipation.  By the end of the song she has had a beautiful baby girl.

At Regionals… Seems that everyone went to the hospital except Rachel.  She congratulates Ms. Corcoran on their performance but also says that Vocal Adrenaline’s best days are behind them. She wants her to come teach at McKinley and co direct with Mr. Schuester.  She feels that there is so much that she can teach her. Ms. Corcoran tells her that she is tired of teaching Glee clubs and that she wants a real life. She wants to start a family since she missed out on raising Rachel.

In the Judge’s room… Sue steps in and goes off, she tells them that she doesn’t care who comes in first or second but that she knows who she wants to come in last.  Rod Remington was feeling the Bohemian Rhapsody so that’s a vote for Vocal Adrenaline. Olivia Newton-John was offended that only one group chose to honor her so that’s a vote for Oral Intensity, and Josh Groban while hitting on Sue thinks that New Directions should win because they have ‘heart’. As Olivia Newton-John is going off on New Directions she begins to feel sorry and actually takes up for them.  Then the ‘celebrities’ seem to turn on her and wonder why she’s even there because she’s not a celebrity, she’s just like that ‘ragtag’ group from her school. They feel they aren’t good they just try hard.  They start the voting.

On Stage… The groups are lined up as the judges come out to announce the winners.  The runners up are Oral Intensity, which leaves a decision between Vocal Adrenaline and our beloved New Directions. Sue then after a brief pause announce Vocal Adrenaline as the winner.  The dejected group looks on somberly as they realize the they didn’t even place.

Back at the hospital… Quinn and Puck are looking at the baby as she is in with the other babies.  He asks if she wants to keep her and Quinn tells him no.  Asking if he loved her, he says yes especially now. They awkwardly look at and away from each other. Ms. Corcoran then walks up and asks which one of the babies is Quinn’s.  When she recognizes her, she asks if she has a name, and they tell her it’s Beth. *Is she going to adopt Quinn’s baby so that she can start a family? hmmm…*

In Principal Figgins’ Office… Ms. Pillsbury and Prinicipal Figgins are having a heated discussion and she storms out.  Will asks what happened and she tells him that he has already given their choir room away. She says some things are worth fighting for, while she’s talking about the kids he’s talking about their relationship. As she goes to walk off so that she won’t have to discuss it he grabs her arm and tells her that he loves her.  He tells her that Dentist or no, things aren’t over between them then passionately kisses her.  As he is kissing her Rachel interrupts and summons him to the auditorium.

In the Auditorium… The group is on stage and they each tell him how things were with them before they joined the glee club and how much better things are now. They feel that they have won because they have him as a teacher. Glee club will never end because he is Glee club and he’s in all of them now.  They then go on to perform ” To Sir With Love” by Lulu. Sue is seen watching this from the back of the auditorium and she seems to be a little emotional about it.

In the choir room… As Will is clearing out the choir room, Sue comes in to see him and gloat a little. He says that she’s gotten what she wants and that he should shake her hand.  She hits back with one of the lines of the night. ‘Not unless you have some hand sanitizer, I’ve seen that car you drive. I don’t want to catch poor.’  He feels that they were better than Oral Intensity. As they flash back to the judges decisions it shows that she actually voted for them to win first place, Oral Intensity second and Vocal Adrenaline third. This is unknown to Will.  She goes on to tell him that she wants another year to torment him. the show her in Figgin’s office telling him that she want to group to stay for another year and that she gets what she wants because of the blackmail stuff she has on him.  Figgins has had enough and says that he will tell his wife about the pictures before he’ll be bullied by her again. If he gives them another year then she won’t blackmail him anymore. She then tells Will that she thinks that he’s a good teacher. As they shake hands, she tells him to good luck and  relishes the thought of another full year of besting him.

In the choir room… As the group looks and stares at Mr. Scuester sadly, he finally tells them that they have another year. They all get excited and celebrate. Before they leave for the summer, Mr. Schuester, with a little help from Puck, sings them a song.  He performs ” Somewhere Over The Rainbow” by Judy Garland. As they sing, they inter-splice a scene of Ms. Corcoran adopting Quinn’s baby at the hospital, ending the first season of Glee.

This episode starts with Mercedes, Kurt, Artie and Tina going down the hall talking about how great regionals will be next month.  Rachel interrupts them and tells them that they need to come to the auditorium because it’s an emergency.  When they arrive they see Jesse on stage with Vocal Adrenaline.  Rachel asks what he’s doing up there with them and he informs her that he’s transferred back to Carmel High.  Seems that they are in the Glee’s auditorium because the blogs say that they are finished and want to show the glee clubbers that they aren’t by performing “Another One Bites The Dust” by Queen.  After the performance Artie informs them that it’s a Carmel High tradition to psyche out the competition a few weeks before a show.  it’s called a funkification, they show what they have and the competition spirals into a deep funk.  Once they finally reach their rehearsal room they see that it has be tee-peed aka toilet papered.

As they clean up the toilet paper and wonder how they got into the auditorium, Coach Sylvester comes in and tells them that she gave them a key.  She then goes on to make plans on redesigning the choir room into her trophy annex.  She then goes on to tell the group that they have no shot at winning regionals.  As she is talking Will asks to see her trophy then proceeds to smash it against the wall.  Sue then hits him with the line of the night; “trophies are like herpes, you can try to get rid of them but they just keep coming back…”  He then kicks her out.

Later that night… Back at Will’s apartment… Will and Terri are signing their divorce papers with regret and apprehension.  Before she leaves she comes over to Will and tells him that he’s still that 16 year old boy to her *the one she fell in love with* and always will be, then she kisses him on the forehead and leaves.

The next day… In the Choir room…  Mr. Schuester comes in to talk to the group about regrets and asks who has some.  They each go on to name something that they regret doing or someone they regret being with.  He doesn’t want them to regret losing to vocal adrenaline at regionals if they give it their best.  He also thinks that they should somehow get back at them for tee-peeing their choir room.  As they are brainstorming, Puck realizes that it’s up to him and Finn to do something for revenge.  They slash the tires of all of Vocal Adrenaline’s Range Rovers.

In Prinicipal Figgin’s office… Puck takes the rap for slashing the tires as Ms. Corcoran berates him with Mr. Schuester and Coach Sylvester looking on.  Prinicipal Figgins expels Puck and Finn because they committed a felony.  Since Ms. Corcoran doesn’t want them to get expelled she says that they money can come out of the Glee club budget.  Problem with that is that they don’t have that kind of money in the budget.  Finn suggests that they get jobs and will pay her the money in one month.

Later that day… Will is spotted buying some weed from Sandy because he seems to be depressed.  As they talk about how to get out of the funk, Sandy tells him that Vocal adrenaline has a weakness…

In the choir room… Mr. Schuester writes the work Funk on the board and tells them that they are going to get ‘funked up’!  He tells them that they can beat Vocal Adrenaline by doing a funky number  because you have to have soul to be funky and Vocal Adrenaline is more of a machine.  Their assignment for the week is to turn the school into funky town. When Mercedes says she has this one under control, Quinn says that she can and wants to get funky too.  They all laugh.  She says that she will have something prepared for the next day. 

In Mr. Schuester’s office… Rachel is bummed about Jesse breaking her heart and babbling on and on.  Will begins to drift off into his own thoughts on how to beat Coach Sylvester.  By charming her and then dumping her right before her  big competition.

later in the practice room… Will is going over a few things when Sue comes in to kick him out and he starts to lay on the charm. Thick.  He starts by saying that the way the light is hitting her makes her look stunning.  After showering her with compliments, he asks her to help with this song he is thinking about for regionals, he wants to know if it’s too suggestive.  he begins to dance seductively as he sings “Tell Me Something Good” by Rufus and Chaka Khan. After his hot performance Sue acts as if it had no effect on her and nonchalantly walks out of the room.

later… Finn and Puck are working at ‘Sheets and Things’ with Terri to pay off the damages they did to Vocal Adrenaline’s car tires.  Sandy is shopping and asks the guys about some pink things for his bathroom, when they say they don’t know he berates them and tells them that he needs music to shop. Puck then goes to the stereo, turns it up, grabs his guitar and he and Finn begin to sing/rap “Loser” by Beck as he walks through the store.  soon the rest of the staff joins in only to find that it’s just a dream that Puck is having.  After Terri turns down the music and sends Puck away, she hears Finn ask her how to fold a sham, but for a split second she thinks it’s Will.

The next day… Coach Sylvester is writing in her diary about what happened between her and Will the day before.  She admits to having feeling for him, sexy non murdering feelings.  She thinks that she may be falling in love with him.  As she jots this down Will knocks on her door with some flowers for her, along with some carbo gels.  He tells her that he doesn’t get it either but that you can’t deny their chemistry.  He then goes on to tell her that his divorce has opened his eyes to a whole new world of possibilities. The only thing he wants is Sue. He wants to take her to dinner this week and she agrees.

Back at Sheets and Things… Terri is helping Finn fold a sham and as they talk she decides that she will help him with his Glee assignment to help them both get out of their funk.

In the choir room… Quinn is preparing to perform her piece for the class.  She begins with a speech about how it’s hard being pregnant and not getting the respect she deserves.  As she’s talking, in walks a group of pregnant girls that she calls the unwed Mothership connection.  they get into place and she begins to sing “A Man’s World” by James Brown. *She tried, she really did but umerra it didn’t work*.  The rest of the group looks on in shock.  Afterwards they come up to congratulate and hug her, all except Mercedes who has this look of disgust on her face. *the same one that I have, one of being unfulfilled.*

Later that night… Sue is at the restaurant with a track suit and some pearls on waiting on Will to arrive but he has stood her up.  she decides to go to Will’s apartment.  *He is expecting her and it’s part of his plan.*  She then berates him for standing him up only for him to have her realize that what he did to her is exactly what she has done to him and the glee club.  she ruined his marriage, terrorized the glee club, and sabotaged his relationship with Emma.  He tried to play nice but realized that cruelty was the only way to get her attention. He tells her that he has no interest in dating her and kicks her out.

The next day in the hall… Will sees Santanna crying and walks up to ask if she’s alright. As she walks away he asks Kurt what is happening and he tells him that Coach Sylvester won’t get out of bed and the Cheerios haven’t practiced in days.  The girls are beginning to crack.  Without nationals some of the girls won’t get scholarships.

Back in the choir room… Puck, Finn, and Mercedes get ready to perform their version of “Good Vibrations” by Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.  After their performance, Mr. Schuester tells them that it was a great performance but it wasn’t funk just because the name of the group has funky bunch in it.  they realize that they in such a funk that they can’t even pick the right song.

later in the library… Mercedes approaches Quinn about her performance and tells her that even though she’s not a minority she understands how it feels at times.  Quinn goes on to tell her about how she feels when people prejudge her.  In a gesture of good will, to help her release at least a little of her stress Mercedes tells Quinn that she can move in with her and that she has already cleared it with her parents.

Later at Sue Sylvester’s home…  Will goes to see how Sue is doing.  Her house is filled with trophies.  He goes on to tell her that her pulling out of nationals with devastate some of her kids.  She tells him that she’s tired of those kids, she has devoted her life to them and has nothing to show for it.  She is so lonely that she doesn’t even like Will but was jumping at the chance to be with him.  He then apologizes for what he did to her and gets her back on her feet.  His motivation works and she is up and back at it.

The next day in the hall… Rachel receives a call from Jesse telling her to meet him in the parking lot. She excitedly goes out to meet him in the parking lot.  As she runs to him, his smile turns into a sinister scowl.  As soon as she stops the Vocal Adrenaline crew come out of nowhere and pummel her with eggs from every direction!

Back in the Choir room… Rachel is telling them what happens and the guys decide to go out and beat up Vocal Adrenaline but Mr. Schuester stops them.  He tells them that they are amazing no matter what Vocal Adrenaline says or does. He tells Rachel to call Jesse’s cell phone, when she does Mr. Scuester takes to phone and tells them that they need to meet in the glee auditorium Friday at  3 sharp.

Later that night.  Will is at his apartment watching Sue and the Cheerios accept another national title.  At the end of the interview she is asked where she is going to put the huge trophy, right after she says that she knows just the place the doorbell rings.  In walks some cheerios with the trophy.  They set it up in the middle of his Apartment.  She then gives him two options. 1. the  trophy can be installed in the choir room inside a bulletproof case as a daily reminder of his failure as a man and an educator or 2. he can kiss her on the lips. With tongue!  Just as he leans in to kiss her she stops him and says that she’s not going to do it and even his breath stinks of mediocrity and it’s making her sick, walking out.  the next day, the trophy is installed in the choir room.

In the auditorium… Vocal Adrenaline sit and wait as Rachel comes out to introduce the crew.  After telling them that they are about to do something that Vocal Adrenaline could never pull off the group begins  the last performance of the night of “We Want The Funk” By George Clinton and Parliment Funkadelic to a shocked Vocal Adrenaline.  After the performance, Jesse tells one of the members that they’ve never done a funk song and now he’s depressed.

This week opens with Tina and Mr. Schuester in Pricipal Figgins office.  She’s in trouble because she is wearing the ‘Goth’ look.  Seems as though ‘Twilight’ fever has taken over the school and kids are dressing and acting like Vampires.  Prinicipal Figgins tells Tina that she has to change the way she dresses and if she sees her dressing in goth attire again then she’ll be suspended.

At Kurt’s house… Finn’s mom is walking him into the basement as he has his eyes closed, so she can surprise him.  When he opens his eyes he’s surprised by Kurt and his dad standing there smiling and offering him sparkling cider.  Burt (Kurt’s dad) has asked Finn and his mom to move in with them.  Finn is pissed about it!  Not only does he not want to move in, but he also doesn’t want to share a room with Kurt.

The next day in class… Tina shows up in some jeans and a sweatshirt instead of her usual attire. The others try and help her find a new look by giving her suggestions of everything from hoodrat to cross country skier.  Rachel then comes storming in to tell them what she found out about Vocal Adrenaline.  She got this info by going through the dumpsters behind their auditorium.  she found 18 empty boxes for Christmas lights, which lead her to a fabric store.  At the fabric store she asked about red Chantilly lace and they were sold out.  As the others ooh and ahh in shock Mr. Schuester confusingly asks what it all means. Kurt tells him that they are doing GaGa. They feel that it’s over.  Mr. Scheuster gives them their assignment for the week.  Lady Ga Ga!

Later that day… Rachel, Mercedes and Quinn decide to go and spy on Vocal Adrenaline as they rehearse the dance moves for ‘Bad Romance’.  While the instructor is trying to tell them about ‘theatricality’ she decides to show them by performing ‘Funny Girl‘ by Barbara Streisand.  As she performs Rachel is mesmerized by her presentation and gets up to go down to the stage. By the end of the performance, Rachel is at the front of the stage as she tells Ms. Corcoran that she is her daughter.

After rehearsal… Rachel and (her mom) Ms. Corbin are sitting in the auditorium seats talking.  She tells Rachel that she knew it was the right time for Rachel to find her when she her extraordinary performance at sectionals.  Rachel asks her if it was hard to not become a star.  She tells her that it feels like a broken promise.  Ms. Corcoran begins to regret telling her because they both seem sad about it. She says that she is sorry and will call her before rushing off.

In Will’s Office… Finn comes to talk to Mr. Schuester while he’s learning all this amazing stuff about lady Gaga. Finn tells him that the guys don’t want to do lady Gaga and that they are always doing what the girls want to do.  Will agrees and decides that he should find something that the guys want to do, Finn already has an idea.

In the hall… Puck is trying to convince Quinn to name their daughter ‘Jack Daniels’.  She keeps telling him that she is giving up the baby.  Tina is dressed in a Gaga inspired champagne bubbles dress and outfit with Kurt dressed in a Gaga inspired Mozart fit.  As they walk down the hall, people stare and look in shock.  As they are walking two jocks push them into a locker. * This must be Kurt’s tipping point* Kurt says something to them and when they come back he says it’s okay to push him around but not a lady (Tina).  They quip back that lately they can’t tell the difference, saying that they aren’t ga ga for Gaga and how they ‘dress all freaky’ and then rub it in everyone’s faces. Kurt tells them that it’s about being theatrical and expressing who they are, the same as when they wear their football uniforms.  Their are just expressing themselves. As the confrontation is about to be over and the jocks are walking away, Kurt tells them not to be late for their appointment at super cuts, the jocks then tell him to watch his mouth Homo.  This leaves Tina and Kurt hurt and embarrassed.

Later at Glee rehearsal… The kids are showing off their Gaga attire.  When they notice that Rachel is missing, they begin to tell how they were spying on Vocal Adrenaline and Rachel found out that Ms. Corcoran is her biological mother leaving the others in shock.  they think that Rachel is going to leave them for Vocal Adrenaline but their wrong.  A soon as they say something she walks in telling them that she won’t leave and that her dads have moved the therapist into the spare room at their house.  They decide to focus on Rachel’s family issue a little later and focus on the songs as they break into a Glee performance of ‘Bad Romance‘ by Lady Gaga. *It’s not half bad. I like it.*

Later in the Bathroom… Finn is getting hassled by the same two jocks that hassled Tina and Kurt earlier.  They think that Glee is gay and him being a jock and being in Glee makes him bisexual.  they begin to push and shove one another.  Before leaving they tell him to get out of their bathroom, because the girls belong across the hall.

At Vocal Adrenaline rehearsal… As they are taking a break after a run through, Rachel comes to her to ask for her help in sewing a Gaga outfit because her dads can’t sew.

Later in the auditorium… Rachel shows up with a new Gaga inspired outfit.  When the others comment on it she tells them that her mom helped her. As they get settled Mr. Schuester decides to introduce the guys performance.  They are on stage dressed as Kiss and perform ‘Shout it Out Loud‘.

Later in the hall… Kurt and Tina are walking down the hall talking about the guy’s performance when they run into the same bullies again. And back them into a wall.

Later that evening… Kurt and Finn are in their room, as Kurt is repairing his damaged outfit and Finn is cleaning off his Kiss makeup he asks Finn to talk to the jocks about not messing up his outfit the next time they harass him.  Finn says that he won’t because it’s already hard enough that people think that they are dating.  He then goes on to say that he doesn’t understand why Kurt has to make such a spectacle of himself and that he should just try to blend it. It would be easier on him.  As Finn goes back to taking off the makeup, Kurt comes over to give him some advice and help him take it off when Finn begins to spaz  out and slaps Kurt’s hand away telling him not to touch him! Realizing that he overreacted and embarrassed he finishes taking off his make up in the laundry room. Kurt yells at him to grow up!

In Will’s Office… Ms. Corcoran is explaining to him that she knows why he called her and that her reconnection with Rachel is not a plot to mess with them before regionals.  Will isn’t worried about regionals, he’s worried about Rachel’s emotional state.  He just wants to know if she is as commited to it as Rachel.  Even though she can’t have any kids because of some medical problems she doesn’t feel that Rachel needs her.  Will tells her that he feels that she needs to tell Rachel.

In Kurt and Finn’s room… Kurt is showing Finn the room he redecorated so that he would like it and feel more at home.  It’s a Morrocan themed room.  Finn tells him that he is insane if he thinks he can live in that room.  Kurt doesn’t understand why Finn is getting so upset about it. Finn says that he doesn’t want to dress in front of him and such. He knows that Kurt has a crush on him and feels uncomfortable about it.  Kurt begins to become frustrated and yells that ‘it’s just a room Finn!! We can redecorate it if you want to!’ Finn cracks and shows his homophobic side and begins to go off on a tantrum!  sayiing things like ‘ first we need to get id of the faggy lamp, and then this faggy couch’! He i interrupted by Kurt’s dad as he comes down stairs and rips into him!!  He confronts him about using the word Fag and how it is horrible! He makes him feel like crap, he thought Finn might have been different from the others but he sees that he’s not.  He then tells Finn that he can’t stay there, he loves his mom and if that costs his relationship then so be it because his family comes first and he can’t have that kind of poison around. ‘Out in the world you do what you want but not under my roof’.  Finn leaves the basement embarrassed and ashamed with his head down.  Kurt’s dad then turns to him before going back upstairs to tell him that the place looks great.

The next day at school… During Glee rehearsal, Finn tells Kurt he wants to talk about what happened but Kurt doesn’t. When he says that he thought Finn was different, he tells him that he is different.  While Mr. Schuester is preparing to talk about something, Puck walks in.  He has something that he wants to say to Quinn and wants everyone else to hear.  His dad wasn’t there for him, but he wants to be there for his child.  He then, along with they other guys, performs ‘Beth‘ by Kiss.  After the performance he tells Quinn that he would really like to be there when she’s born and even though she’s giving up the baby that she should name her Beth.

Later that day… Rachel is in the auditorium going over some notes when Ms. Corcoran comes in.  She says that she really wanted things to work.  She feels that it’s too late for them to have anything, it would just be too confusing.  they decide to be grateful for one another from a far for a while.  They give each other a tearful hug goodbye.  She then gives her a present.  A fancy cup with a star. *the cup is because Rachel said that when they first met she was thirsty. This is because whenever she was sad her fathers would bring her water. So now whenever she gets sad she gets thirsty.  Ms. Corcoran gave her the cup to remember her by whenever she gets sad.* Rachel asks that before she leaves if she’ll sing a song with her. They perform a jazzy rendition of Lady Gaga’s ‘Poker Face‘. *Excellent performance!! Probably the best of the night! Their voices accompany one another’s very well.*

The next day in class… Mr. Schuester walks in to his surprise to find everyone in their costumes.  They found out the lesson for the week from Tina, as she walks in dressed in her goth attire, was that you shouldn’t dress like something you’re not to be like something you’re not and that’s its okay to be a little theatrical. they flash to a scene of Principal Figgins coming down the hall only to see Tina dressed in full vampire gear. She tells him that her dad is the king of all vampires and that Asian vampires are the most vicious of all vampires.  If he doesn’t let her wear her goth clothes then her dad will fly into his bedroom and bite his face because he’s really pissed!   After that Artie realizes and asks where Kurt and Finn are…

In the Hall…Kurt is being harassed by the two jocks and about to get beat up when Finn shows up superhero style and says that they aren’t going to hit anyone. He is dressed in a lady Gaga Red rubber dress!!  He tells Kurt that he still has a lot to learn but wants to thank Kurt for helping him realize his faults.  As the jocks begin towards Kurt, the other Glee members show up as support.  Realizing that they are outnumbered they leave.  For now.  Rachel says that she is tired of people always calling them freaks, Finn tells them that they are all freaks together and should not have to hide it.  They decide to go back in the room to practice for regionals, ending this episode.

This episode begins with Will being summoned to Principal Figgins’ office.  While there he is introduced to the newest member of the school board.  His arch rival Bryan Ryan *played by Neil Patrick Harris*.  Apparently he made Will’s life a living hell in high school by getting every solo in the Glee Club as well as every girl he wanted.  He is there to audit the school’s budget and cut some of the extra curricular programs.  He’ll most likely cut the Glee Club.  He has turned a leaf since his show choir days and now for four nights a week he runs a show choir conversion group that The new teacher Brenda *Molly Shannon*from last week is in it.  He wants to speak to the group.  Though Will objects, Principal Figgins makes him.

In the choir room…  Will introduces Bryan Ryan to the kids. As he begins his speech he tells them to take out a piece of paper and write down a dream that they have that means so much that they can’t admit to anyone else.  He then takes that paper and throws it away telling them that the dream will never happen.  91% of them will spend their lives living in their same county.  *He’s just a major Debbie Downer the entire time*.  Will kicks him out because of this.

In the library… Tina comes over to help Artie reach a book and they begin to talk about their future.  She tells him that she saw what he wrote on the paper when she went back to get her book bag.  Artie wanted to be a dancer.  To cheer him up she decides that since Mr. Scheuster was too busy with Bryan Ryan to give them an assignment that they could do one on their own. A dance number.

At a dance studio… Rachel is practicing her ballet.  As she spins around she sees Jesse St. James.  They begin talking about what her real dream is.  As they talk and walk down the hall she reveals that her real dream is to meet her mom.  Jesse says that they should find her and he won’t stop until they do.

In the choir room… Artie and Tina are practicing their dance routine.  It doesn’t go well at first.  Frustrated, Artie stops the practice and asks Tina to hand him some crutches that he received from a kid with cerebral palsy.  She helps him up out of the chair and he tries to walk.  He takes a step and then falls.  Defeated and embarrassed, he tells Tina to go away and that she pushed him to try it.  She says that she is sorry and leaves him there.

In the Home Ec room…  Will finds Bryan doing inventory on the Home Economics supplies.  He offers to buy him a beer and/or convince him that he is wrong about the Glee Club.

Back in the library…  Rachel comes up to Jesse to let him know that she has found her mother. After doing some research she thinks that her mother is Broadway legend Patty Lupone.  Rachel believes this to be true because of the roles and songs that she sung.  After doing the math to see if it is possible, she believes it is.  Her birthday is December 18, 1994.  1994 was a big year for Patty.  She did a show in Akron, Ohio 9 months before she was born.  When Jesse questions her theory she asks him if he wants to see proof that Bernadette Peters is her mother.  She just doesn’t want to find out that her mother was some teenager that got pregnant like Quinn or just some girl that would give up her daughter for some money.  He wants to do a real investigation, like CSI.  Her fathers have kept every single piece or paper related to her in a file cabinet in her basement.  They start there.

In a Bar… Will and Bryan are at the having some beers and talking.  As they make small talk Will says that all the girls wanted Bryan.  Bryan doesn’t agree. When pressed by will as to which girl got away he says that it was Terri *Will’s soon to be ex wife*causing Will to almost chokes on his drink!  He tells Bryan that he married her and that it just didn’t work out.  He goes on to tell him that music and the glee club helped him get over the hurt.  After this, Bryan begins to cry and tells him that he’s living a lie.  he still loves Music and performing.  3 times a year he tells his wife that he is on a business trip and sneaks off to New York to see a bunch of Broadway shows.  he even has a box of Playbills hidden in his basement, like porn.  Will is perplexed by this and gets an idea.  He goes over to the jukebox and begins to play ‘Piano Man‘ By Billy Joel.  This is what Bryan Ryan sang as his solo for sectionals and wants him to sing it again there to cheer him up.  After the first few bars he begins to sing along.  The two make it a duet as they sing karaoke style.  Afterwards, Will tells him that he should give it another shot and that the local theatre company is holding open auditions for Les Mis *one of my favorite plays. I remember going to see it om Broadway with my high school Choir on a trip to New York my Junior or Senior year. Shouts to Sumter High School Choir, We the best!!!!*  and that they should both try out. 

The next day… Tina catches up to Artie and apologizes to him about what happened the day before.  Artie apologizes as well for his reaction.  She tells him that she did some research on new ways to treat spinal cord injuries.  She just doesn’t want him to give up on his dream.

At Rachel’s house…  Rachel and Jesse are going through some of the things that she brought up from the basement.  While Rachel is not looking, Jesse slips a tape into one of the boxes and pretends that he found it there.  The tape is titled “From mother to daughter”.  He goes to play the tape but she stops him because she doesn’t think that she’s ready yet and asks him to leave.

At the Open Audition…  Will and Bryan are getting prepared and find out that they are trying out for the same part and are planning to sing the same song.  As they argue the director then tells them to sing it as a duet.  They decide on ‘Dream On‘ By Aerosmith.  After this stellar performance the director walks out and says that they’ll let them know.

Later at the mall… Artie buys a pair of tap shoes. As they going around Tina asks if he wants a pretzel, since they are upstairs he waits for her to return.  Before she goes he tells her to wait because he wants to tell her something.    He went to the doctor and started on some of the treatments in the research that she gave him.  It’s beginning to work!  He puts both of his feet on the ground and  as he helps him up he begins to walk, to her amazement.  He walks over to the stereo and turns the music up and begins to dance! Break dance and hip hop at that!!! He’s a part of a flash mob  similar to this  *Seems to good to be true right?*  Actually that was only a vision or dream that Artie wanted to happen, as they cut back to a scene of him sitting in his wheelchair alone while waiting on Tina’s return.

In Coach Sylvester’s office… She tells Bryan that she thought he would have put an end to the glee club.  *He seems to have other plans*as he tells her of his return to the stage in Les Mis, he has decided to examine not just the glee club but all of the extra curricular activities and her Cheerios budget is way out of control.  He has done some research and discovered that music and the arts help kids learn.  She quips back that 1/3 of American teenagers are obese and only 2% of high schools require any form of daily physical activity. She goes on to say that sports teaches teamwork, problem solving, and social skills.  She feels that what she does makes a difference.  Bryan seems to be turned on by her and they decide to go to her secret room upstairs *like Letterman* and have sex.  He’s still cutting half her budget though.

Later that night…  Jesse gets into the car with his old instructor and tells her that Rachel has the tape but won’t listen to it.  he has started to actually like her.  He doesn’t seem to understand why she can’t just go up to Rachel and tell her that she’s her mom. * Yep!! The Vocal Adrenaline instructor is Rachel’s mom!! They actually do look alike.*She says that she can’t because of a contract that she signed stating that she can’t contact her until she turns 18.  Rachel can only contact her, that’s why she wants her to listen to the tape.  She feels that once she hears it she will have no choice but to come and find her.  She then goes on to tell him about how she came to be Rachel’s mom.  she answered an ad in the paper.  For 9 month’s work she would have enough money to live in New York for 2 years.  She eventually failed as an actress, and her only regret is giving up Rachel.

In Miss Pillsbury’s office… Artie goes to see Miss Pillsbury because he’s going to need help adapting to his new lifestyle once he begins walking.  He gives her the research to look over.  She breaks the news that it may not happen because his injury is irreversible and even if it’s not, the research is in it’s infancy and probably could take at least 10 years before it can even be tested on humans.  Before he leaves feeling rejected, she tells him that maybe they should start meeting once a week anyway.

In glee practice… Bryan tells the club that he took some of the money from the Cheerio budget and bought them new costumes because he feels that the arts matter.  He gives them some custom made denim jackets, tear away dance wear and sheet music from every Broadway show for the last 50 years.  The kids as well as Mr. Scheuster are shocked at his change.  Coach Sylvester comes into the room to congratulate Will.  He thinks it’s because of the new things but it’s only to tell him that he won the role in the play over Bryan. He is clearly upset about not getting the lead part and decides that he is going to cut the Glee club.

At the Theatre… Will confronts Bryan to try and have him reconsider cutting the program.  He goes on to tell him that the kids may not be stars but they shine like them. If he cuts the program he is not only cutting out their lights but creating 13 black holes.  He then tells him that he wants him to take his lead part so that he can remember what it’s like to be a star.  They strike a deal, if Will gives him the part then he won’t cut the program.

In Rachel’s room… As she is coming out of the bathroom, she sees Jesse queuing up the tape.  he feels that she’ read to hear it, presses play and leaves.  As the tape starts and Rachel hears her mother’s voice she sits down on the bed nervously.  her mother begins to sing ‘I Dreamed a Dream‘ from Les Mis, also sung by Susan Boyle on the tape as well as inter-cut scenes with Rachel on stage.

Later at school… Artie is telling Tina that she should find another partner to dance with and that he has come to the conclusion that he will never walk again and that he’s okay with it and he’ll still sing his part just no dancing.  Mr. Scheuster tells the others about Bryan not cutting the program because he traded his part so that they could keep the club. He then asks Tina to come up to perform.  The final performance of the night is the club on stage in a dress rehearsal for regional.  Artie begins to sing ‘Dream a little Dream of Me‘ originally sung by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong but most recently remade by Michael Buble.

This episode begins from the point of view of  an unknown student as he/she walks down a busy school hallway. The other students are all looking at this student shockingly.  As the unknown student enters the practice room it is revealed that the student is Puck.  Why is everyone looking at him so crazy? He has cut his signature Mohawk because his mother found a mole on him when she was washing his hair and freaked out.  She sent him to the dermatologist who then cut his hair to get a closer look.  Turns out it wasn’t anything major.  It was a freckle.  Now he feels that he’s lost all of his strength.  After school, the nerds gang up on him because without his hair he has no more ‘juice’.  Puck then begins to think of ways to become cool again and thinks that if he dates a Cheerio this will happen.  He chooses Mercedes as his target.

Meanwhile, Rachel pulls out an old lady’s medicine cabinet worth of vitamins and other assortments.  She explains to Mr. Scheuster that she is tired all of the time because everything that she sings is a solo.  The other members are horrible.  She even went as far as to have the choir room bugged.  She compiles a list of the members that she feels are not pulling their weight.  It’s half the club.

In the Hall… Puck approaches Mercedes at her locker.  He tells her that he has a proposition to make.  He’s done some research and found out that Blacks and Jews  have a history of sticking up for each other and, according to Wikipedia, King Martin Luther loved the Jews.  His point is since she’s  popular now and he needs to spice up his image that they should join forces, stroking Mercedes’ arm while telling her that he likes a girl with curves.  Mercedes gives him a side-eye of death as she tells him that she is just not attracted to him and she knows what he does to the girls he dates.  They just aren’t compatible.  He’s top 40 while she’s Rhythm and Blues.

In the Choir room… Mr. Scheuster is telling the guys how disappointed he is in them.  Finn whispers to Rachel that he can’t believe that she told on them and she goes all defensive saying how she’s tired of carrying all of them with Regionals being in a month.  When asked why he stopped singing, Finn says that it’s because Mr. Scheuster gave all the male leads to Jesse and it shook his confidence.  Mr. Scheuster gives them their assignment to come up with a song that best describes where they are in their life right now.  He gives them all solos in an attempt to get their voice back.

As class ends… Kurt and Mercedes are walking out of the choir room talking about what songs they will choose when Kurt’s father enters.  He sees Kurt and speaks.  Kurt thinks something is wrong but the only reason his father is there is to pick up Finn and take him to a baseball game.  Kurt asks why he wasn’t invited.  Simply because he’s more interested in the uniforms and not the game.

Later in the choir room… Puck is still trying to get with Mercedes with lines like “Girl you got more curves than a Nissan ad”. Seriously?  As Mr. Scheuster comes in to get things started Rachel volunteers to go first.  She has chosen to perform “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus because it’s about overcoming obstacles and beating the odds which in her case is the rest of the glee club.  She performs horribly! All off key and pitch.  As she tries to fight through it, Mr. Scheuster stops her and tells her that he thinks that she’s lost her voice.

The next day at school… As Kurt is in the hall looking in the mirror, Coach Sylvester comes up and asks why he wasn’t at Cheerios practice.  He begins to talk to her about his relationship with his dad and how his sexuality may be causing a conflict.  She goes on to ask if he’s kissed a boy? No. Has he kissed a girl? No.  Then he doesn’t know what he is and he may not be gay just because he likes Show-tunes, he may just be awful.  She comes up with one sure person who can tell him who he is. Her.  She hasn’t quite made up her mind about him yet.  As he tries to continue the conversation about his Glee assignment she stops him and  leaves.

Later at Kurt’s house… Kurt’s dad comes down to the basement to see him and he’s dressed just like his father and tell shim he’s just working on his assignment to sing ‘Pink houses” by John Mellencamp.  His dad is kind of shocked.  When he finds out that Kurt thinks the song is about interior design, he explains that it’s really about how the 80′s was a tough time for people and that the American dream is not always what it’s cracked up to be.  Kurt suggests that they go grab a couple of burgers and talk more about it.  He leaves to go get his coat.

At the doctor’s office… Rachel is in the chair freaking out as she talks to Finn.  Just as Finn tells her that he’s not going to say that she’ll never sing again, the doctor walks in and tells her that she’ll never sing again.  It’s just a joke, and explains that it’s a case of severe tonsillitis that resulted in an inner ear infection.  She thinks that instead of him butchering her throat, rest and herbal tea will have the same effect.  He ensures that this is a very serious infection and gives her a prescription for antibiotics.  When she asks Finn what to do, he says that maybe she should as her boyfriend but oh wait, she can’t because he isn’t there.  He’s on spring break with his friends from Vocal Adrenaline.  Finn then asks her when will she realize that he’s not into her the way that he is?  She thinks that he’s jealous and that she still cares about Jesse deeply and knows that he feels the same about her.  As she goes behind the curtain to change out of the hospital gown, Finn starts to sing ‘Jessie’s Girl‘ by Rick Springfield.  This transitions into his performance for the Glee Assignment in the choir room.  After the performance, Mr. Scheuster is congratulating Finn and saying that he should be an inspiration to the others.

In The Choir room… After Finn’s performance Puck decides to go next.  For his performance he is accompanied by the black kids in the jazz band.  He goes on to say that since he’s shaved his Mohawk he’s seen things differently.  He recently joined a black church and downloaded every song by Sammy Davis Jr on iTunes.  He then goes on to perform Sammy Davis Jr’s ‘Lady is a Tramp‘.  This turns into a duet as Mercedes feels it and joins in.  After the song everyone is cheering except Santanna as she sits scowling and looking pissed off at Puck.

Later in the Hall… Everyone seems to be staring and admiring Mercedes as she walks.  When she turns the corner she sees Quinn at her locker and approaches her.  She tells Quinn that she’s not normally into guys like Puck especially since he’s the father of Quinn’s baby but something just came over her.  Quinn surprisingly tells her to go for it.  She realizes that she made a mistake by getting pregnant from him and that he’s an idiot.  At least if they start dating then she won’t have to deal with him and his insane theories anymore.  Like how Mario Bros. changed civilization.  She tells him that he is using her to regain his popularity.  She just doesn’t want Mercedes to get hurt.  Mercedes realizes what the situation is and has protected her heart.  While that’s all fine and dandy, Quinn isn’t worried about that, she is worried about her emotional state.  She’s more worried about her physical state and what Santanna is going to do to her.

In the choir room… As they start the next round of solos, Kurt goes first.  He walks in dressed in a plaid shirt, jeans and a hat like how his father would dress and begins to sing ‘Pink Houses‘ by John Mellencamp to a confused crowd.  After the performance, he asks Mr. Scheuster if anything is wrong.  Mr. Scheuster explains to him that the assignment was to define who they really are not who they think people want them to be.  He then tells him not to be someone he’s not just to please someone else.  As he’s leaving, the dumb Cheerio approaches him and says that she’s slept with every guy at school except him because she thought he was gay and that he should let her know when he’s ready to ‘tap’ that.

Later in the hall… Rachel is walking down the hall eating a bowl of cereal in a daze.  Finn sees her and asks if she’s sleep walking.  She says that she has been on the antibiotics for three days and hasn’t had any improvements which means she has to have the surgery and her life is over.  He tells her that he’s sick of her always feeling sorry for her self.  She feels that her voice is all she has without it she’s nothing. He then comes up with an idea for her to meet an old friend of his.

Later that night… Kurt and the cheerio Brittney are making out and he asks her what a boy’s lips taste like.  She says usually dip, burgers or her armpits.  for some reason kissing her armpits is a big turn-on for her.  As they go back to kissing, Kurt’s father comes downstairs.  He left a note on the door stating “do not disturb under any circumstances because I am downstairs making out with a girl”.  He then asks his father to respect his privacy because he and Brittney are going to have sex.  His father pulls him to the side and says that it has taken him months to come to realize and accept that he’s gay and now he’s not?  He’s a bit confused, telling Kurt that it’s okay for him to be whatever he wants to be, he’ll support him either way. then he leaves the two alone and goes back upstairs.

The next day at school… Puck is going on and on about how great Super Mario 3 is to Mercedes as she gets things out of her locker.  She tells him that she agreed to date him because they have musical chemistry but he needs to start trying to figure out things about her and stop constantly talking this video game nonsense.  She begins to tell him that she would like for him to get her a frozen coffee drink. As he walks away to get it, he notices that a nerd scared of him so he grabs him and slams him into a locker asking him what is going on.   The nerd then fearfully says that whatever he did, he’s sorry and gives Puck his lunch money. Puck tells him to put it away and asked why he didn’t look at him when he first walked by.  The nerd then goes on the tell him that now that he’s dating Mercedes his cool meter is off the charts and he’s back to normal.  Mercedes sees how he looks at Santanna as she walks down the hall.

Mercedes calls Santanna, who is standing right next to her by the way, as they do their own rendition of ‘The Boy is Mine‘ by Brandy and Monica.  This transitions between different scenes in the hall, classes, and the choir room.  By the end of the performace the two girls are about ready to throw down! Mr. Scheuster has to break them up.

After school… Mercedes sees Puck and his friends dumping some kids into the trash.  She tells him that no man of hers is going to be doing things like this.  He explains to her that this is the order of things and that she needs to accept them for the way they are because now they are a part of the system at the top of the heap.

Later in the afternoon… Finn and Rachel arrive to see the person Finn wanted her to see.  He’s a guy that Finn met at football camp named Sean.  Rachel seems confused about what is going on so Sean explains his situation.  it’s the third game of the season and he is paralyzed from the upper chest down by a tackle.  He then asks about her voice.   He then goes on to tell of how he tried to kill himself by driving his wheelchair into the swimming pool only to be saved by his mother.  He goes on to tel her that he’s miserable but that he has other stuff going on, and he’s good at more than one thing.  His mother interrupts because it’s time for his physical therapy.  Rachel thanks him before leaving and realizes that even if she does lose her voice, it’s not the end of the world and that she can do other things.

The next day at school… Puck asks Mercedes why she isn’t wearing her Cheerios uniform.  She quit because it’s not who she is.  She wasn’t being true to who she is.  She feels that he isn’t being true to himself either when he picks on the dweebs at the school.

Also walking the halls… Kurt and Brittney are walking through holding hands to the shock of all the other students.  His father is back at school to pick up Finn to take him for some hoagies and motocross.  When asked why he wasn’t invited his dad says that Finn is going through some things but they hang out as much as he wants just not tonight.  Kurt then breaks into his version of ‘Rose’s Turn‘ By Bette Midler from the play ‘Gypsy’ as he walks down the hall transitioning into him performing it under a spotlight on the auditorium stage.  As he ends his performance his father is there clapping for him.  He tells him that he decided not to go with Finn so that he could hang out with him.  They have a touching moment as he tells him that he will love Kurt no matter what.

Later that evening… Rachel goes back to see Sean.  She came back to thank him for showing her that just because she can’t sing doesn’t mean that she can’t do something else.  To repay him she will give him voice lessons since he is interested in singing.  Her voice is back because of lots of antibiotics, herbal tea remedies and resting her voice.  She has to eventually get them taken out but for now she is okay.  They begin to sing ‘One‘ by U2 Featuring Mary J Blige. This then transitions from the two singing in his bedroom to the glee club performing this song together in a dress rehearsal in the auditorium for the last number of the night.

This episode opens with Kurt, Artie, Mercedes, and Tina laughing as they look at a video in the practice room.  The video that they are watching is of Sue Sylvester reenacting the Olivia Newton-John video for “Physical“!  During the video Finn, Rachel, and Jesse walk in.  After seeing it Finn thinks it’s a good idea to post it on Youtube.  The others agree and Rachel seems to be the only one that has a problem with it.  Finn posts the video anyway.

Later in the hall…  By now the video has become viral and spread all over.  As Coach Sylvester walks the halls different students make comments or elude to the video.  When one of them does one of the dances she did in the video *the Cabbage Patch* she realizes what has happened.

In Principal Figgins’ Office… Will is sitting with Principal Figgins as Coach Sylvester tells them that the Glee club stole her private property and posted it on the internet, it had already received over 170,000 comments. when Mr. Scheuster tells her that his kids wouldn’t do this she hits them with a “Glist”, a Glee list that rates the members on their hotness on a weekly basis.  Principal Figgins thinks that this is very serious and he doesn’t find out who did it then he will have no choice but to expel the entire Glee Club.

In the Practice Room… Mr. Scheuster shows them the list and sternly asks who did it, informing them that if they don’t tell them Principal Figgins will disband the club.  They first believe that it’s Puck because his girlfriend is at the top of the list and Rachel is at the bottom.    They feel like their bad reputation is actually helping them because people don’t bother them as much.  He gives them their assignment of the week.  Find songs similar to “Ice Ice Baby” by Vanilla Ice * Which sold millions by the way.  You know you had that song on tape or CD and you probably know all the words too!!! I can’t front, I know I had it and know it word for word!!*,  find out how they work and to make them great.  He then performs his version of the song.

In The Teacher’s lounge…  As Coach Sylvester makes her grand entrance into the teacher’s lounge she is greeted by the other teacher and faculty pointing and laughing.  She tries to motivate herself by saying how great she is only to be interrupted by a new teacher.  Brenda Castle, being played by Saturday Night Live Alum Molly Shannon.  She just transferred from a school in Indiana because she is not allowed to teach there because of her drug problem.  she begins to clown Coach Sylvester because of her video.  She then joins the other staff as they continue to laugh at coach Sylvester until she angrily storms out.

Later in the hall… As Artie and Rachel are walking to class she tells him she needs some help from the A/V club.  Since she is at the bottom of the “Glist” she wants to reevaluate her image.  She wants to change her image from a good girl to the Worst.

Later on… Kurt calls a meeting with Artie, Tina, and Mercedes to talk about their reputations.  They decide that since they aren’t even on the list they should do like a normal “C” list celebrity would do and cause a scandal so extreme that they can no longer be ignored.  They decide to stage a disruption in the library.

After School… Sue Sylvester is talking to her sister about being humiliated at school and how horrible she felt.  Her sister reminds her that when they felt bad as kids they would help at the animal shelter, because there is always someone who has it worse than you *Message!!*

In Miss Pillsbury’s Office…  Coach Sylvester decides that she will become Miss Pillsbury’s new therapist.  This is her attempt to give back to someone less fortunate.  She then goes on to point out all her faults as well as tell her that Mr. Scheuster made out with the teacher from Vocal Adrenaline and about April’s Sleepover sessions.  How does she know? She put baby monitors under his couch and bed!  Of course, Miss Pillsbury is crushed.  Before she can even gather herself from this news coach Sylvester stands up  and tells her that she sucks and that she needs to grow a pair.  She does this to help her stand up for herself.  She tells her that she needs to tell Mr. Scheuster how she feels in a public place so that he can’t escape or manipulate her.

In Rachel’s Room… Rachel tells Puck that she wants him to help her with her assignment.  She wants them to act out “Run Joey Run” by David Geddes.  He then asks her if she believes that he made the Glist and goes on to say how he’s tired of people stereotyping him for a few mistakes that he’s made.  As they compare stories, they begin to make out but Rachel stops.  Puck then says that whoever made the list will put her at number 1 for cheating on her boyfriend Jesse *which makes me believe that Puck made the Glist all along* he then lays it on thick when he says that Jesse will never fully understand her because he’s not Jewish.  She stops again so Puck decides to leave but she asks him to stay and work on the project so he agrees.

The next day at School… Coach Sylvester drags Miss Pillsbury to the teacher’s lounge to confront Mr. Scheuster but she isn’t able to go in out of fear of them laughing at her again.  At they stand in the hall Ms. Castle comes out to poke even more fun at Coach Sylvester.  As Emma looks on nervously, they begin to argue back and forth.  After the confrontation, Emma goes in to talk to Will. He is talking to an older faculty member when she interrupts.  He asks her to give him a second.  Emma then loudly says that she will not  give him a second and he will have to reschedule his heavy petting session for a later time! Will is shocked! Seems that the older faculty member was just telling him how her husband had just died and he was consoling her. *oops!!* Emma just keeps going as she suggests that he’s trying to get with this lady “fresh off the rebound” and how “nobody’s safe!!”  He says he wants to talk to her in private but she doesn’t want to and proceeds to put all of their business out there for everyone to hear.  About how she has been seeing a therapist about her OCD so that they can be together only to find out about the different women that he has been messing around with.  She says that she is putting her foot down and will not take it anymore then proceeds to call him a slut over and over and says it’s over.  After this outburst she says she is very sorry to the older lady for her loss and then walks out leaving Will standing there embarrassed and confused.

later on in the Library… They show Kurt, Artie, Tina, Mercedes, and the dumb Cheerio spy dressed in hammer pants as they sneak into the library.  What do they plan to do? Yep, MC Hammer’s “Can’t Touch This” Utter hilarity!!  The idea was kind of dumb though.  the funny thing is that they thought they would get in trouble but the old librarian lady thought is was cute and is going to talk to her pastor about them performing that at Sunday service.

Later at school… Mr. Scheuster is interrogating Finn about who made the list and how to stop a new one from coming out.  Finn is all fidgety and nervous as he tells him that he doesn’t know anything.  He goes one to interrogate each member of the club.  Afterwards, the Hammer crew comes to terms that they can’t shake their reputation and need to come clean about posting the video.  If they get suspended for it then the entire student body will then see them as bad asses.

In Coach Sylvester’s Office… Coach Sylvester is writing in her diary about how her video has just surpassed 3 milion hits and she doesn’t know how much longer she can deal with the humiliation.  She then wonders if this is karma from the way she treated people.  As she pauses to think about it, she gets a phone call.  The person on the other end is Olivia Newton -John!   At first Sue doesn’t believe it,  hangs up on her and continues to write i her diary about how she is going to play nice full time.  The phone rings again.  With a little apprehension, she answers the phone.  It is Olivia Newton – John, once again Sue doesn’t believe her and tells her to sing something.  After singing a piece of “Physical”, Coach Sylvester realizes that it is really her.  She goes on to tell Coach Sylvester that  she saw her video and wanted to know why she made it.  she then tells Coach Sylvester that she botched the original video and thinks that Coach Sylvester can save it.  She plans to be in Ohio the next day for an event and wants to meet up with her.

Later in the hall… Will is walking down the hall and the students are pointing and making different types of gestures at him.  He looks confused as Coach Sylvester walks past him calling him a man-whore.  The new teacher, Ms. Castle, then walks up to him to introduce herself and offers to have sex with him.  Even the principal is praying for him and his situation.  Coach Sylvester walks by him again calling him a slut.

In front of Coach Sylvester’s office… The others are giving Kurt a pep talk right before he goes in to tell that they leaked the video.  He then walks up to Coach Sylvester to tell her that they are the ones who leaked the tape.  He is overwhelmed when instead of berating him she says she can’t thank him enough and walks off.  Later they try and figure out why she didn’t get mad.  As they search for the video they posted they come across another video.  This time it’s the Physical video but redone with Sue Sylvester and Olivia Newton-John doing a duet! *Oh and a lil autotune as well* Check it out here. They are pleasantly surprised and watch the video again and again.

At Practice… Mr. Scheuster tells them that it has been a week and no one has come forward.  If they don’t then it is out of his hands and they will have to deal with Principal Figgins.  No one fesses up so he moves on to the assignments.  Rachel goes first.  She then proceeds to show the video she made with Puck for “Run Joey Run” this is supposed to give her a bad reputation as being promiscuous as it stars Puck, Jesse, as well as Finn.  The thing is, the guys didn’t know that the other was in it.  They are pissed and her plan backfires as the three of them walk out in disgust.  Mr. Scheuster just gives her this ‘what were you thinking’ look.

Later that day… Sue is talking with her sister about the video that she did with Olivia Newton-John.  She tells her that she forgot how good it feels to give back .  She then tells her how she explained to the staff that she doesn’t need their approval anymore *by gloating and boasting on how she is a top 700 recording artist!* She has decided to give her share of the profits to the nursing home that her sister is in. She then reads her sister a story and tells her that she will always love her.

In Miss. Pillsbury’s office.. Will comes in with a large bouquet of flowers and apologizes for his behavior.  She can’t forgive him for what he did and tries to remain strong as he pleads.  She thanks him for the flowers.  as he gets up and leaves her office he sees Quinn coming down the hall from her locker.  Then it all makes sense.  He calls her into the practice room and tells her that he knows that she is behind the glist.  At first she refutes it but then has a break down of sorts.  She goes on to say that she has lost her popularity, body, and might as well throw away her education too.  He realized it was her when he was humiliated and had to walk in her shoes.  She is the one that lost the most so she had the most to gain from the list.  She begins to cry as she explains that she never meant to hurt anyone.  He gives her a pep talk telling her that she is better than that and she will be back on top soon.  When Principal Figgins approaches to see if Will has found the culprit he tells the principal that he has talked to all of his students and no told on anyone.  He then says that since the glists have been stopped then his point has been made and they should just move on.  Prinicpal Figgins agrees.

In the Hall… Jesse approaches Rachel at her locker.  She asks if he was mad at her and he goes on to say how before he transferred he asked around about her reputation. Most people didn’t know her or thought she was weird but they thought she could be trusted.  He can’t seem to get past what she did and thinks that he should have been enough for her. She broke his heart.

the final performance of the show is “Total Eclipse of the Heart” by Bonnie Taylor.  They sing this as they show a montage of Rachel in the practice room singing the lead, Ballet rehearsal with Jesse, as well as additional vocals from Jesse and Finn.  As the song comes to an end, they all leave the practice room in disgust, leaving Rachel standing in the middle of the room alone and heartbroken.

The show opens with Kurt and Mercedes in Sue Sylvester’s office as she discusses some issues she’s having with them.  First, Mercedes’ body.  She says that she’s not comfortable in the Cheerio skirts.  Kurt informs her that she doesn’t have to be embarrassed of her body but it’s the opposite for her.  She’s not embarrassed but rather doesn’t want to show too much skin and causing a *and I quote* “sex riot” *her words not mine*.  The thing is Splits Magazine *I’m assuming this is some sort of Cheerleading magazine, kind of like ESPN the magazine* has named her Coach of the last 2000 years *yeah the last 2000 years*.  They will be sending a reporter (Mr. Pendergrass) to interview her and she wants Mercedes to lose 10 lbs and be in a Fit Cheerios uniform by the next week when he arrives or she’s off the team.  She then excuses them so that she can call the Ohio Secretary of State to inform them that she will no longer need to carry ID because people should know who she is!

Later in the Teacher’s Lounge… Will confronts Sue about the Auditorium being padlocked.  Sue of course plays it off as if she had no idea that this has happened.  She has apparently made a sign up sheet for the auditorium use that she keeps folded in her waistband.  Not only that but she has the entire week already booked.  Will tells her he will see what Principal Figgins has to say about it, that’s when she drops the bomb that she is blackmailing the principal so he won’t and can’t do anything about it. Will leaves shocked.

At Glee rehearsal… Before they end rehearsal Mr. Schuester tells them that they can’t use the auditorium for the next week because the Cheerios need it to practice for the upcoming  magazine shoot.  Rachel recommends that they do a sit-in while Puck thinks that they should just torch the place.  As the club talks about what to do Mr. Schuester reminds them that they have faced adversity before and come out stronger because of it.  He tells them that he’ll look for some off campus locations that they can use instead of the auditorium.

As Class adjourns… Kurt comes up to Finn and asks his opinion on how he should redecorate his bedroom. He’s going for the Hunter’s lodge meets Tom Ford’s bedroom look.  *Yeah, that sounds like a hot mess.* Finn just kind of looks at him crazy and tells him he lives in a closet with cowboy wallpaper.  He nervously picks a pattern and walks away.

In the Cafeteria… As Mercedes is picking an item from the oh so nutritious selection of food *sarcasm* Kurt reminds her that she needs to lose 10 lbs or she’ll get kicked off the team.  When she goes to ask the two Cheerio spies how they stay so skinny they introduce her to the “Sue Sylvester Master Cleanse”.  * Get ready for it* It consists of water, maple syrup, lemon, cayenne pepper, and a dash of ipecac to induce vomiting.  When Mercedes suggests that it sounds terrible, they say they don’t care.  It’s either do that and stay on the team or don’t and get kicked off.  Quinn sees all this from the side as it happens and you can clearly see that she is feeling bad for Mercedes.

At Finn’s House…  Finn and his mom watch as all of his dad’s things are removed from the house.  As the movers ask about buying the recliner as well, Finn quickly says that it’s not for sale.  The only picture he has of him and his father is when his father is holding him as a baby in that recliner and he doesn’t want to lose that memory. He feels that is all that he has left of his father.  His mom responds that it’s just a chair and not his father.  When Finn asks her why she’s selling all of this stuff and what’s going on with her she tells him that she is seeing someone.  Not only is she seeing someone new but she thinks that she’s in love.  When he asks who it is well, *surprise surprise* it’s Kurt’s dad!!

Later that night… Will is searching around for a place for the Club to practice and finds his way to a skating rink.  When he asks around about who to talk to about renting the space he is directed to ex girlfriend April.  She insists that they sing ” Fire“ by Bruce Springsteen as a duet.  After their duet and a couples skate around the rink they have catch up on old times.  Last time we saw her she was an alcoholic on her way to rehab.  she stopped in a bar on the way there and ran into Buddy Lebowitz.  *who is Buddy lebowitz?  He’s the owner of a bunch of different strip malls in the area* She’s his new mistress and that’s how she has come to own the skating rink. He asks if the club can rehearse there since Sue is being so unreasonable about the auditorium and April quickly and enthusiastically says yes.  When he tells her that he has to leave to show his apartment so that he can find a new place to live he tells her about his divorce.  She is visibly excited that he is free to date.  *in order to get a chance to sleep with him* April decides that she wants to see the place and may want to rent it since she’s back in town and needs a place to stay. They make an appointment to meet the next day.

The next day in Coach Sylvester’s office… Coach Sylvester is having a Cheerio weigh in and it’s Mercedes’ turn.  Instead of losing weight she actually gained 2 lbs.  Now she has only 4 days to lose the weight or she’s done as a cheerio.  Coach Sylvester tells her to do whatever it takes to lose the weight.

In between Classes… Finn catches up with Kurt in the hall.  He’s trying to figure out what’s going on with their parents dating.  Kurt informs him that they met at a parent teacher night about a month or so prior.  He conveniently left out the part where he introduced and practically hooked them up.  This is all Kurt’s plan to be with Finn.  He’s already picked out furniture and all.  Finn isn’t having it and walks off disgusted.

Back in Class… Mr. Scheuster delivers the news to the club that they’ll be practicing in a roller rink.  This does not go over well with them.  Kurt feels that the group just needs to find a sense of place. He then attempts and fails miserably at singing *My most favorite Luther Vandross song ever!!* “Still in Love (A House is Not A Home)“.  *I’m sorry but nobody can do that song justice except Luther*.  It’s clear that Kurt is singing to Finn, as Mr. Scheuster’s mind wanders off into thoughts of his own lost loves.  When Finn sings his portion he is singing to an Urn with his dad’s ashes in it as it sits in the recliner next to that portrait of them.

Later that night… April arrives at Will’s apartment with an overnight bag.  When asked about it she says that she needs to settle into the place by staying overnight to see if the energy is right for her.  Will is visibly uncomfortable about the situation but she assures him that it’s only one night, so he agrees and gives has her sleep on the couch.  As she is getting dressed for bed she sings “One less Bell to Answer” by 5th Dimension featuring Marilyn McCoo.  Will eventually joins in as he prepares for bed as well.  He pauses at one point to look at a picture on a table of him and a woman that looks like Emma but could have been Terri.  As they both separately sing and prepare for bed. He comes into the living room to tuck her in.  After this she transitions into “Still in love” by Luther Vandross.  She decides not to sleep alone and goes into the room with Will to sleep next to him.  They then do a mash-up of the two songs as they lay in bed together.

At dinner… Finn and Kurt accompany their parents on a date.  Kurt begins to make a toast to the momentous occasion.  Finn is visibly down and not into this couple.  Kurt’s father tries to make Finn feel more comfortable by asking him about sports. When they realize that they both love football, Finn seems to cheer up while all Kurt is concerned about are the new jeans he got Finn’s mom Carol.  Kurt’s father and Finn begin to bond more as they talk about going to football games together sometime.  Finn’s mom is happy that he’s coming out of his shell but Kurt seems to be hurt that his father is bonding so fast with Finn. *More on that later*

Later that night… Kurt is taking down the different color swatches of the wall that he was using to come up with ideas on how to redecorate the house when his father comes down to talk with him.  He’s pretty snappy to his dad because he was bonding so closely with Finn and he never was that tight with him.  His father reassures him that he loves him regardless and a little “guy talk” with another kid is not going to change anything.  Kurt starts to reconsider his decision to help his dad start dating again.

The next day at school during lunch… While Mercedes is sitting having lunch with Artie and Tina she is being really snippy.  They try and tell her that it’s not healthy to be drinking “Sue Sylvester’s Master Cleanse”.  When she starts to yell at them about how hard it is to be a cheerio and even to fit in at the school she begins to hallucinate.  Tina becomes ice cream on a cone and Artie becomes a piece of chocolate cake.  As she walks off the other students all look like food to her.  She then faints.

In the Nurses office… The nurse tells her that her blood pressure was low causing her to faint and goes to call her mom to let her know.  Quinn is in the office and has a talk with  Mercedes about what’s going on with her.  She tells her that she has been in the same situation before and knows how she feels.  She tells Mercedes how lucky she is to be so comfortable in her own body and not to let Coach Sylvester take that away from her, she then reassures her that she is beautiful no matter what. *Message!!!*

Later at the Rink…  As the club does some skating after practice Will says that he doesn’t feel like things are working out.  April just brushes it off and suggests that she close up early and that they rent a movie and snuggle up for the night. He doesn’t want to make it a habit of them being together since he’s in the middle of a divorce and she’s a mistress to someone else.  After all this he offers her a place to stay for the night, she declines and says she is going over to Buddy’s to break it off.  They hug it out as she walks away.

The next day… In between classes, Kurt comes up to Finn and tells him that they need to find a way to break up their parents.  Kurt felt left out when Finn was talking to his dad.  They agree to try and put an end to the relationship.

At Finn’s house…. Finn takes drastic measures first by attempting to flush his dad’s ashes down the toilet.  His mom stops him and he tells her he’s only doing what she’s going to do since she’s dating now. She’s on to him and quips back that they can pretend to be a family and sets the urn in the recliner, turns the tv on and begins talking to the ashes.  When he says that she is being crazy she comes right back that he is being selfish by not letting her date and try to move on.  She tearfully confesses that she takes the urn with her to bed every night and talks to him about what’s going on with her day and asking for his advice, while waiting on his laugh for 16 years.

At the Pep Rally the next school day…  The Cheerios are getting set to perform when Sue Sylvester walks in and sits next to the reporter.  She finds out that her story is not some little fluff piece for the magazine but actually a hard hitting investigation into student athletics.    The Cheerios then enter and get ready to perform. As they set up and wait a few seconds before starting to *”build the tension” per Coach Sylvester* Mercedes walks out and up to the mic to address the crowd.  As the rest of the student body look to her she tells them that their self image and self worth is more important than anything as she tells her story.  She then begins to Beautifully sing “Beautiful” by Christina Aguilera. *Very heart touching and warming performance* The Glee members join in as she gives a masterful performance while Coach Sylvester and the reporter watch.  He then tells a shocked Coach that he will finish the interview with her in her office tomorrow.

The next day in Coach Sylvester’s office… Coach Sylvester comes in to try and explain what happened at the pep rally but he stops her.  He explains to her that at first he didn’t like her and thought she was a bit racist.  He thought that he would have a story that would expose her as a coward and a cheater but was wrong.  Coach Sylvester is not surprisingly shocked.  He goes on to say that she has put together a team that represents every shape and size singing about empowerment and inclusion telling everyone that it’s okay to be exactly as the way you are.  He feels that she is a visionary and may be redefining cheer leading.  She of course regroups and spins it into something that she came up with.  he assures her that this is a great thing and when his story comes out it can only mean bigger things for her.

Later on that night… Back at Finn’s house, Kurt’s dad drops by.  He was invited by Finn’s mom to come over and have a man to man talk with him.  Kurt’s father goes on to say that there is no way that he can fill his dad’s shoes but that he loves his mom and promises never to hurt her or try to replace his dad.  After all this Finn, doesn’t have anything left to say and invites him to sit in his Dad’s chair to watch a basketball game.  Kurt is watching from the window and begins to cry as he sees his father bonding with Finn.

the next day at school… April tells Will that she took his advice and told Buddy to either ditch his wife or she’s leaving.  Guess what?  The old man has a stroke and dies!!  To ensure that April doesn’t go to the newspapers with the story of the affair, the wife pays her $2 million to keep quiet!  So what does she decide to do?  Go to Broadway and start an all white production of The Wiz!! * You know the classic with Diana ross as Dorothy, Michael Jackson as the Scarecrow, Nipsy Russell as the Tin Man, Ted Ross as the Lion,and Lena Horn as Glenda the good witch, and who can forget Richard Pryor as the Wiz!! Sidenote; The Graffiti kids were way way way way way better then the Lollipop guild!!!* Not only is she leaving but her parting gift is that she bought them the auditorium!! *You Principal Figgins is all about the budget!!* It is not called the “April Rhodes Civic Auditorium.

The final performance and probably the best one of the night is April singing  “Home” as sung by Diana Ross in The Wiz.  You  should also click here and here to check out Stephanie Mills’s version.  In my opinion she does a much better job at it but since they were talking about The Wiz I added Diana Ross’ Version.
