I love that quote and I’ll have to tape that up somewhere so I can see that everyday! It feels good when I know that you guys understand that what I do is real. truth be told sometimes I’ll read your review and it’ll actually make me rewrite my review so that it won’t seem like we’re saying the same thing even though we’re both thinking it! lol I think it’s cool if they read something of mine and are inspired to do their own spin on it or whatever but pay respect where respect is due.

My dude… I JUST went through this exact same situation, and it was someone I know and used to work with. She would come through Sound-Savvy, see what I had posted, copy and paste and change a few words around and repost it on a “bigger site” that she just ‘interns’ for. I confronted her and asked her to cut the bullshit.

I don’t mind if people do the same things I do, hell I actually LOVE when you and I write reviews of the same thing, because most of the time we’re on the same page and it lets me know I’m not the only one that feels that way. People who copycat can copy what you do, but they can’t duplicate how you do it. They can’t xerox your hustle or your passion, and as hard as they try, their success won’t be as sweet either. “Jealousy is the tribute that mediocrity pays to genius.” So from one passionate writer to another, keep grindin’ and doin u. And you’ll always have the support of folks like me, who understand your passion. We do this because we love it, and if it never makes us a dime, we’re content because we write about the things we love.

Hey A. Red;
Like you said I’m glad I have cool people on my side that understand my plight and will ride with me, I didn’t realize how ugly this blogging can get, and I’m sure it’s much worse.

What up Sane;
At this point in the game (no pun intended) I’m gonna just finish up this season and be done with it. I’m like you, I could care less right about now if it gets renewed or not. I’m cool on this. If they can’t support the ones that support them then why should I continue supporting them? I understand why they hit the bigger blogs b/c of more traffic or whatever but don’t forget where you started! once this campaign is over where are they gonna be?

Dude, you already know I know why you wrote this post here. I’m mad as hell right now for the exact same reason. I know this is in part reference to the blog shout outs that were given to the “bigger blogs” by the CW camp over this whole “The Game” bull that’s goin’ on right now. The same blogs that don’t grind half as hard as you do when it comes to the show watching and recaps but suddenly do ONE post over the whole “don’t cancel the show” campaign and all of a sudden, they get the shout out like they’ve been down since day one. I just came from a “forbidden site” that I won’t name and I saw the most recent video pertaining to the show’s plight, talkin’ about they got the million hits they needed on the CW message board but “still need our help”. At this point, you know what? At this rate, I hate to say it but if they get cancelled anyway then so effin’ be it.

I feel you Sincere. It’s hard to see all your hard work go unnoticed, but then somebody else take it and get a pat on the back. SMH It’s disheartening but you’ll get your just due…and so will they!

I’ve come to learn this blogging game is ugly. But the thing that ease the drama is having cool people on your team and knowing you’re not the one with bad intentions.

Thanks for the comments. I just feel like I'm putting in a lot of the leg work for someone else to get the shine. It's just frustrating, but I can't stop what I'm doing ya know? I'll just continue doing what I'm doing regardless of what happens. I blog as a release and to connect with others because I know I'm not the only one that thinks that way. It's all good though. Prayed about it and now I'm cool about the situation.
