The Game Season 3 Episode 13 Recap

So I finally got around to posting last week’s recap. Here ya go!!!

The episode starts off with Malik at home eating some cereal and watching “Mookie’s Joint” *Kinda like Sesame Street* and they announce that the Sabers will be on next week and of course he’s a syced!
After practice the team publicist stops Malik to tell him that the producers from ‘Mookie’s Joint’ don’t want him on the show because his image isn’t right for the show.

At the team meeting the Sabers brass discuss what to do with Clay’s ‘coming out’. They decide to embrace the situation and go public with him as the first openly gay player. Malik is the first player to raise objectives to it and he voices his opinion against it loudly!! “He is not about to tow the company line for no fag!” *can you say that on tv? I guess so…* The meeting ends with Clay and Malik about to fight. They want Jason to be on board because he’s a senior leader. He’s not on board but they day they’ll pay him a bonus if he helps so he goes along.

Over at the Pitt’s residence… Jason comes over to get Kelly *who always seems to have a drink in her hand* to help him rally the sunbeams in support of clay so that the guys will go along. He wants the sunbeams to accept Clay’s boyfriend Derrick into the fold. * a male sunbeam?*

At Malik’s spot… Jason stops by to get Malik to support Clay. Not working.

Back to the Pitts’ House… The sunbeams are having a meeting. *Why is med school there? She’s not even married to a player, matter of fact she’s not even dating Derwin*. They are steadily bashing Gays and getting Tasha started with her gay jokes when Derrick walks in… *What’s up with Kelly’s face? looks like she used too much of that spray on tan stuff. Just orangy* Now that he hears all the gay bashing he is having second thoughts about talking Clay into staying on the team. They go on and on about how it’s not easy to give up the perks of the NFL life and blah blah blah. He decides to go, but Tasha talks him into staying because Clay keeps Malik healthy and that keeps the team winning. He decides to stay but the guys have to lay off the harsh treatment. Tasha places a call that she says will get Malik on board.

Over at ‘Mookie’s Joint’…  Malik, Jason, Derwin and Javon are performing a song with Mookie and afterwards Mookie has a heart to heart with Malik about liking people even if they are different. He then calls Clay in and the three talk about being friends even though they like different things. Malik then realizes the meaning of the story and decides to get on board and support Clay thus ending this week’s episode.

All I can say is that I was a little dissapointed in this week’s episode. I mean I get the point of the show. That we’re all the same even though we like different things and all but it seems that they could have done a better job writing the story. The writing this season has not been up to par at all. From the looks of next week’s previews Med school and Derwin are getting back together, or maybe Janay and Derwin.. Who knows.. I hope Med school and Derwin are done but I guess not. Anyway. Hopefully next week is a little more exciting.
