My President Is Black Controversy

I wanted to say something earlier about this whole Bill O’Reilly/Dennis Miller vs Jay Z/Jeezy issue but refrained from doing so. But I can’t let it go.
As you may or may not know I always come to the defense of hip hop when ‘outsiders’ try to demean or denigrate the art form that I love. I defended Luda when he expressed how he felt about Madame Secretary Hillary Clinton. Like I said then, I’ll say now. I may not agree with his choice of words but I understand and agree with the point he was making. So back to the whole ‘President is black’ debacle…
I was over at Eb the Celeb’s spot * Hey Eb!!! What up!!* and I saw this post (<—click here)and I felt that it summed up what I am feeling to a tee. So hop on over and read it, but before you do I’m gonna give you just a taste of how I feel.
Okay first I gotta say that Nas really REALLY disappointed me on this one! I mean they more than likely picked him for this song because of his ability to make conscious records right? Does he bring that to this politically charged track? No!! He’s rapping about strippers, rose gold and rims. What the hell? Smarten up Nas! Now personally, I don’t think the song was offensive or inappropiate for the moment. Maybe it’s because I’m a big Jeezy/Jay Z fan and that’s overriding my senses, but to me the song was not that offensive. Just like in Luda’s case I’m sure some of the things said could have been said differently but what ever happened to freedom of speech? I mean really? It’s the first amendent to the constitution!
Now in the same token that goes both ways. Mr. O’reilly and Dennis Miller are protected under that same amendment to say whatever they feel about hip hop and that song/show but I also have that right to state that I disagree with them. Not fully, but partially disagree. They did present a good argument that that may not have been the right place but who are they to say when and where I can express my support or non support for the president or anybody?
My issue is that there are way worse things going on and that have happened than a song supporting and showing love for the first African American president. I mean we made history, can we relish in it for just a bit? Not too long though because we have work to do, but just for a little while. Why does it seem that he is constantly attacking Hip hop? *Sidenote; I’m still mad that nobody stood up for those Dixie Chicks when they were anti war/Bush and Toby Keith went hard on them with that wack ass patriotic song he made! If I was blogging back then I would have had their backs!!* Life is so much bigger than rap!
Anyway check out my girl Eb’s Post
Peace
Sincere

*Update: So here’s the remix to the Remix that Bill & Dennis were talking about.  This time Jeezy goes in on them, along with Bernard Maddow and a little extra on Former President Bush

The Game Season 3 Episode 12 Recap

Okay so this episode begins with Malik and T.T. and the house with a bevy of beauties. T.T. turns on the tv only to find Robin on ‘Extra’ talking about some new movie she’s starring in. When the question turns to why she filed for divorce from Malik claiming fraud she says that she wasn’t prepared for his ‘lifestlye’. Basically implying that he is gay! *Wow, You ain’t have to get him back like that!* He calls Robin up to see why she did and said what she said and she basically did it to get back at him for bursting the wedding bubble first. Even his crew of handlers can’t help but joke about it. Tasha even calls to chime in with jokes.

Over at the Pitts house… While Tasha is joking about Malik being gay and doing her hair Med school and Kelly dig on her about her hairstyle. When they go hard Tasha can’t handle it and gets upset. After a while she decides to go along with it and change up her hairstyle.

Next at Derwin’s apartment… Med school comes over still hyped from Kelly’s but Derwin has a different demeanor altogether. She goes in for a kiss but he stops her She thinks it’s because she had two chili dogs for lunch and “loved it”. He asks *and you not gonna believe what happens next, ready for it? Hold on, grab your chair tight!* “So you loved it like you love banging Dr. Barrett? *Wow!! Did not see that coming!!* She spits out her water and tries to collect her thoughts. He seems to know everything, even that he calls her ‘McHottie’. She tries to justify it by saying she’s not the only one seeing someone else. *him being a father to his unborn with Janay.*  He promptly gives her her bags and kicks her out!

At the Sabers practice… Malik walks in expecting to get the royal roasting treatment, but they trick him into thinking they don’t believe before going into full Broadway mode with dancers, costumes and all, dancing and singing to ‘It’s raining Men*that was a little extra and didn’t quite fit. Kinda dumb* Malik gets all upset.

Back at Malik’s place… Later that night, Malik has the fellas over and as they watch a stripper dance he makes some lasagna. The majority of them call it a night and head off but Clay. he decides to stay and eat since Malik went through the trouble of making the food. Then he starts to talk about Malik’s feet and getting pedicures. As they talk about taking care of their feet and getting them sucked, and other little small talk. Malik tells him to throw on some music. *You are not gonna guess what this fol puts on.* this fool throws on some J. Holiday ‘Bed‘. *Yes he did!* As they sing and act crazy, Clay comes up behind Malik and grabs him up *prison style* and whispers “I wanna put you to bed, Malik.” Malik fights him off and kicks him out. Clay makes him promise not to tell anybody!

Back at Kelly’s House… Tasha is back with a new hairstyle. *Looks like it was cut with a weed whacker!* She’s all excited about her lopsided cut when Med school comes in wanting to know which on of them told Derwin about Dr. Barrett.  Apparently neither Tasha nor Kelly told him so now she realizes that it is over for them for real for real. Tasha hits her to some knowledge that it didn’t matter who told her because if the new Melanie wants to be grown and play then she has to accept losing. *because she lost!*

During halftime of the Sabers’ game… Coach is upset because they are now behind going into halftime because Malik changed the play to Shotgun  instead of under center (Clay) at the last minute. He claims to have seen a rush coming. Coach doesn’t buy it and makes him and clay demonstrate how the play should have gone. When Malik refuses Coach asks if it’s because of the rumors of him being gay, or is he really gay? He says slyly ” I’m not the one that’s gay” as he looks in Clay’s direction, putting Clay on the spot. To try and save face Clay says that Malik came on to him while at his house. Malik attacks Clay out of anger. Adding flame to the fire, Clay goes on to say that  if he’s the gay one then why is Malik attacking him? Once he plays that card Malik hits him with video of clay jumping on him that night. *Everybody knows Malik’s place is laced with cameras everywhere! what were you thinking?* As a true old school coach, Coach says that he doesn’t care whether they are gay, straight or undecided. They have a game to play and this game decides whether they make it to the playoffs and pulls Clay from the starting position for the second half, ending this week’s episode.

Wow, this is probably one of the best episodes so far this season. I can’t believe Malik outed Clay like that, but I can’t believe Clay came at him like that in the first place! Malik was wrong for doing what he did, he just ruined that man’s career and I’m sure he’ll get some fallout from it *hint, hint* Wow, all I can say is wow.

Med school finally got caught up in her foolishness! I’m glad this blew up in her face! I wonder who told though. I wonder if it was T.T. because you know he’s the one that knows everything about everybody!!

Our Moment in History

Here is the awe inspiring inaugural speech by President Obama *Feels so good to say that!* (full text below if videos stop working. Reading is fundamental!)

My fellow citizens:

I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the sacrifices borne by our ancestors. I thank President Bush for his service to our nation, as well as the generosity and cooperation he has shown throughout this transition.
Forty-four Americans have now taken the presidential oath. The words have been spoken during rising tides of prosperity and the still waters of peace. Yet, every so often the oath is taken amidst gathering clouds and raging storms. At these moments, America has carried on not simply because of the skill or vision of those in high office, but because We the People have remained faithful to the ideals of our forbearers, and true to our founding documents.
So it has been. So it must be with this generation of Americans.
That we are in the midst of crisis is now well understood. Our nation is at war, against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred. Our economy is badly weakened, a consequence of greed and irresponsibility on the part of some, but also our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age. Homes have been lost; jobs shed; businesses shuttered. Our health care is too costly; our schools fail too many; and each day brings further evidence that the ways we use energy strengthen our adversaries and threaten our planet.
These are the indicators of crisis, subject to data and statistics. Less measurable but no less profound is a sapping of confidence across our land – a nagging fear that America’s decline is inevitable, and that the next generation must lower its sights.

Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this, America – they will be met.

On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.

On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics.

We remain a young nation, but in the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things. The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea, passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free, and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness.

In reaffirming the greatness of our nation, we understand that greatness is never a given. It must be earned. Our journey has never been one of short-cuts or settling for less. It has not been the path for the faint-hearted – for those who prefer leisure over work, or seek only the pleasures of riches and fame. Rather, it has been the risk-takers, the doers, the makers of things – some celebrated but more often men and women obscure in their labor, who have carried us up the long, rugged path towards prosperity and freedom.
For us, they packed up their few worldly possessions and traveled across oceans in search of a new life.
For us, they toiled in sweatshops and settled the West; endured the lash of the whip and plowed the hard earth.
For us, they fought and died, in places like Concord and Gettysburg; Normandy and Khe Sahn.

Time and again these men and women struggled and sacrificed and worked till their hands were raw so that we might live a better life. They saw America as bigger than the sum of our individual ambitions; greater than all the differences of birth or wealth or faction.

This is the journey we continue today. We remain the most prosperous, powerful nation on Earth. Our workers are no less productive than when this crisis began. Our minds are no less inventive, our goods and services no less needed than they were last week or last month or last year. Our capacity remains undiminished. But our time of standing pat, of protecting narrow interests and putting off unpleasant decisions – that time has surely passed. Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America.

For everywhere we look, there is work to be done. The state of the economy calls for action, bold and swift, and we will act – not only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth. We will build the roads and bridges, the electric grids and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together. We will restore science to its rightful place, and wield technology’s wonders to raise health care’s quality and lower its cost. We will harness the sun and the winds and the soil to fuel our cars and run our factories. And we will transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age. All this we can do. And all this we will do.

Now, there are some who question the scale of our ambitions – who suggest that our system cannot tolerate too many big plans. Their memories are short. For they have forgotten what this country has already done; what free men and women can achieve when imagination is joined to common purpose, and necessity to courage.
What the cynics fail to understand is that the ground has shifted beneath them – that the stale political arguments that have consumed us for so long no longer apply. The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works – whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified. Where the answer is yes, we intend to move forward. Where the answer is no, programs will end.. And those of us who manage the public’s dollars will be held to account – to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day – because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.

Nor is the question before us whether the market is a force for good or ill. Its power to generate wealth and expand freedom is unmatched, but this crisis has reminded us that without a watchful eye, the market can spin out of control – and that a nation cannot prosper long when it favors only the prosperous. The success of our economy has always depended not just on the size of our Gross Domestic Product, but on the reach of our prosperity; on our ability to extend opportunity to every willing heart – not out of charity, but because it is the surest route to our common good.

As for our common defense, we reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals. Our Founding Fathers, faced with perils we can scarcely imagine, drafted a charter to assure the rule of law and the rights of man, a charter expanded by the blood of generations. Those ideals still light the world, and we will not give them up for expedience’s sake. And so to all other peoples and governments who are watching today, from the grandest capitals to the small village where my father was born: know that America is a friend of each nation and every man, woman, and child who seeks a future of peace and dignity, and that we are ready to lead once more.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

We are the keepers of this legacy. Guided by these principles once more, we can meet those new threats that demand even greater effort – even greater cooperation and understanding between nations. We will begin to responsibly leave Iraq to its people, and forge a hard-earned peace in Afghanistan. With old friends and former foes, we will work tirelessly to lessen the nuclear threat, and roll back the specter of a warming planet. We will not apologize for our way of life, nor will we waver in its defense, and for those who seek to advance their aims by inducing terror and slaughtering innocents, we say to you now that our spirit is stronger and cannot be broken; you cannot outlast us, and we will defeat you.
For we know that our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness. We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus – and non-believers. We are shaped by every language and culture, drawn from every end of this Earth; and because we have tasted the bitter swill of civil war and segregation, and emerged from that dark chapter stronger and more united, we cannot help but believe that the old hatreds shall someday pass; that the lines of tribe shall soon dissolve; that as the world grows smaller, our common humanity shall reveal itself; and that America must play its role in ushering in a new era of peace.

To the Muslim world, we seek a new way forward, based on mutual interest and mutual respect. To those leaders around the globe who seek to sow conflict, or blame their society’s ills on the West – know that your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy. To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist.

To the people of poor nations, we pledge to work alongside you to make your farms flourish and let clean waters flow; to nourish starved bodies and feed hungry minds. And to those nations like ours that enjoy relative plenty, we say we can no longer afford indifference to suffering outside our borders; nor can we consume the world’s resources without regard to effect. For the world has changed, and we must change with it.

As we consider the road that unfolds before us, we remember with humble gratitude those brave Americans who, at this very hour, patrol far-off deserts and distant mountains. They have something to tell us today, just as the fallen heroes who lie in Arlington whisper through the ages. We honor them not only because they are guardians of our liberty, but because they embody the spirit of service; a willingness to find meaning in something greater than themselves. And yet, at this moment – a moment that will define a generation – it is precisely this spirit that must inhabit us all.

For as much as government can do and must do, it is ultimately the faith and determination of the American people upon which this nation relies. It is the kindness to take in a stranger when the levees break, the selflessness of workers who would rather cut their hours than see a friend lose their job which sees us through our darkest hours. It is the firefighter’ s courage to storm a stairway filled with smoke, but also a parent’s willingness to nurture a child, that finally decides our fate.

Our challenges may be new. The instruments with which we meet them may be new. But those values upon which our success depends – hard work and honesty, courage and fair play, tolerance and curiosity, loyalty and patriotism – these things are old. These things are true. They have been the quiet force of progress throughout our history. What is demanded then is a return to these truths. What is required of us now is a new era of responsibility – a recognition, on the part of every American, that we have duties to ourselves, our nation, and the world, duties that we do not grudgingly accept but rather seize gladly, firm in the knowledge that there is nothing so satisfying to the spirit, so defining of our character, than giving our all to a difficult task.
This is the price and the promise of citizenship.
This is the source of our confidence – the knowledge that God calls on us to shape an uncertain destiny.
This is the meaning of our liberty and our creed – why men and women and children of every race and every faith can join in celebration across this magnificent mall, and why a man whose father less than sixty years ago might not have been served at a local restaurant can now stand before you to take a most sacred oath.
So let us mark this day with remembrance, of who we are and how far we have traveled. In the year of America’s birth, in the coldest of months, a small band of patriots huddled by dying campfires on the shores of an icy river. The capital was abandoned. The enemy was advancing. The snow was stained with blood. At a moment when the outcome of our revolution was most in doubt, the father of our nation ordered these words be read to the people:
“Let it be told to the future world…that in the depth of winter, when nothing but hope and virtue could survive…that the city and the country, alarmed at one common danger, came forth to meet [it].”

America. In the face of our common dangers, in this winter of our hardship, let us remember these timeless words. With hope and virtue, let us brave once more the icy currents, and endure what storms may come. Let it be said by our children’s children that when we were tested we refused to let this journey end, that we did not turn back nor did we falter; and with eyes fixed on the horizon and God’s grace upon us, we carried forth that great gift of freedom and delivered it safely to future generations.

Recognition Or Racism? You Be The Judge…

It surprises me everyday at what we allow ourselves to be subjected to without even giving it a second thought. I really do believe that some of us have become so oversensitive to things that it has desensitized us. Or maybe I’m just one of those that thinks everything is a jab at something. to understand what I’m saying peep this.

Is it me or this racist? I mean they haven’t done anything like this for any other president. I get the whole idea of them doing it for whatever reason * They say that this is in recognition of one of the most defining moments in history and that they will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Thurgood Marshall college fund as a part of their continuing and longstanding commitment with the urban community. * Im not hating, but I’m just saying.. I find it kind of offensive but that’s just me. I mean there’s already a liquor store on just about every corner in the hood, so I guess they’re trying to capitalize off this as well.
Here’s another example.

*That’s Oklahoma State Senator Judy Easton Mcintyre on the right, if you were wondering*

I truly don’t like this. I mean an afro with the pick in it? come on we have got to do better! I really can’t see any black person proudly wearing this. but I guess I’m wrong. When I showed this to a couple of folks I got mixed reviews. Some offended, some wanted to know where to get it and some didn’t care either way. I can’t endorse this buffoonery. Sorry no sir/ma’am, not me. Not happening.
Oh and don’t forget these to go along with your shirt

Don’t worry I’m sure they come in all kinds of shades and colors… *closing the browser tab as I shake my head in disgust* But for real, you may want to cop those kicks because if you plan on going than you will have to walk everywhere!
I’m sure, matter of fact I know there are plenty of products out there made just to cash in on the 44th president, but please be aware that we are on display and this buffoonery needs to stop. I’m just tired of it. I knew that it would get worse as the inauguration event drew closer, but come on. I’m sure that on the 21st videos and pics of all kinds of stuff will be swirling around the internet. Like I said earlier, we have got to do better! Remember, The Inauguration is not Freaknik DC okay? Okay. Let’s celebrate it with the type of class that it deserves.
Peace

The Game Season 3 Episode 11 Recap

On this episode we start with Kelly going to see Jason at the Sabers training facility to yell at Jason about not returning calls. She needs a new car because the lease is up on the one she has. He tells her that she had three cars, but she spit on them and threw them in his face * remember the grand gesture from last week?* He tells her to go get her own since she has a job, but she has no credit because everything was in Jason’s name. Once again she threatens to put it out there that he is on steroids in front of everyone. So when she starts to blurt it out he jumps up and decides to buy her a car. *Blackmail is such an ugly thing!*

Back at Jason’s Kelly’s house…. She’s meeting up with med school and Tasha to talk about her new ‘friend’ Joe. She ‘s ready to take it to the next level but she’s not sure how to tell him. She whips out all these freaky toes. *like the freaky hoe that she is, she believes that every relationship can be saved with sex*.
As Joe and Kelly go to a hotel, to get it on. Guess who arrives? Yezzir, Jason!! He snatches Joe out of the driver’s seat ,that he bought for Kelly, just as Joe and Kelly were kissing. As he proceeds to lay the smackdown on his ass, Joe says that he thought they were already divorced, and she also failed to mention that they have a child together. Apparently Brit is at a sleepover while her mom is planning her own ‘adult’ sleepover. As the valet calls the cops, Jason takes the car he just bought Kelly and dips.

Over at Derwin’s spot… Med school and Derwin are watching Titanic and all Derwin can think about is ‘hitting it aka having sex’. When he asks why they aren’t, she says she doesn’t want to end up like Jason and Kelly. As they are trying to discuss what else they have in common besides sex, they begin to play fight. Before long they are about to go at it but med school stops it and they start watching The English Patient * Lame*

Meanwhile at Malik’s house… Jason has parked the car there. * Why they always have cars parked in this house I will never know or understand. It’s like he lives in a garage.*  The cops show up and ask Jason about the incident at the hotel. They give him a little preferential treatment because they are fans but they advise him to give back the car.  Malk gives him some advice by not telling him to not ruin his career over this foolishness with Kelly and to end it. When they start to wonder how the cops found out he was there. T.T. * the real star of the show* comes from the back while on the phone with the officers and tells Jason he wants the rest of his money. * T.T. was the spy who took the shots of Joe and Kelly and tipped Jason off to their locations.*

At Rick’s place… Tasha and Rick are getting it on and she starts to suck his toes *ewww*… when he isn’t feeling it she says she feels that she may have whipped out all her sex tricks too early. He reassures her that she hasn’t and that he doesn’t need all the extra stuff and would just settle for normality.

Back at The Pitts residence… Jason brings the car back and she goes right into this fussing. They have a heart to heart and he is having a really hard time letting her go and so is she. He decides not to fight for custody and to give her however much it takes to get it over with. They end this episode leaving the house to go talk about how much money for the divorce settlement and surprisngly sounding like friends.

So Jason and Kelly are finally making it offical huh? I wonder which character will get the ax once the divorce is final and over with? I don’t like how she tried to blackmail him into getting her a car by threatening to tell the entire team that he used steroids. This one decision is going to be a burden on him forever. No matter what happens she will always be able to play that card. I’m glad they seem to be handling it maturely in the end.

Med School and Derwin were not really the focus of this episode and I think the rest of the season may belong to the Pitts’ divorce. Med school is trying her hardest not to have sex with Derwin for whatever reason. She says it’s because she doesn’t want to be like Jason  and Kelly but the real reason is because she’s sleeping with Ole boy at the hospital.

Okay that’s it for now. See you next week, same Sincere time. Same Sincere blog.

Back On My B.S.

So I was skimming through some of my old posts and I realized that what I was saying back then was way better than what I’m doing now. It seems to me like I’m ‘dumbing’ down or something similar *not to say in anyway that my readers are dumb or not smart enough to comprehend me or that I’m some kind of super genius. You understand? I’m just saying.. Nevermind*.  So I will be back on my b.s. like before. for examples of what I’m talking about read this, or this, or this and this. First Week Of The New Year

What up! Sooo…. How’s your year going so far? Mine? it’s well.. going. Last week went by so quickly I didn’t even realize it. You know we’re almost halfway through this month? We’re already in the teens!! It didn’t help that last week was my first full week back to work in 2 weeks. I thought it would have went by slowly as I got adjusted to the work flow again but nope. It whizzed by pretty quickly.

How many times are you gonna hear ‘This year is my year”? Or “I’m going to do this… or that…” but we end up doing none of it? No dis to the folks that actually make resolutions and stick to them, hey ‘shine in ’09, but I’m just not a resolution type of guy. I just try to make everyday better than the one before it and keep it moving. I have some big plans for this year, but I plan to make every year a big year. That is all for now.

The Game Season 3 Episode 10 Recap

This episode starts with Derwin in his apartment doing some stretches when Jason comes in asking for toilet paper. When Derwin goes to get it he steals money from his wallet. When Derwin comes back he tells him that Kelly has added an amendment to the divorce. She wants $1 million, a condo in a good school district, a car. *Okay he has like $50 million in the bank* Derwin tries to convince him that maybe she isn’t really about the money because she could have asked for much more and that maybe he needs to show how much he cares and how he’s willing to fight for her.

Over at the Wright household… Robin wakes Malik from a loud snoring sleep and tells him he needs to be more discreet with his marital indiscretions while he’s in bed with another chick! A picture of him and some girl was on a gossip website and Robin’s publicist seems to be tired of spinning the stories. Malik really isn’t caring about what she has to say. Robin feels that Malik can’t stand on his own and that he has to always have someone to lean on. First it was his mother, then T.T. and now Robin. *Where’s T.T. Anyway?*. She advises him to focus on himself, so he says he’ll divorce her and of course she’s not having it because she has too much lined up for some movie role.

Kelly, Med school and Tasha are coming out of the spa and waiting on Kelly’s car to come from the valet when a Lamborghini, Ferrari and Bentley pulls up filled with gifts from Jason. He gives her the option to choose all, one or whatever she likes. This is his grand gesture to win her back. Not only that but he also transferred $5 million to her account with no strings attached and dissolved the pre nup. *Wow! Ballin’!!* She declines it all and says she’ll proceed with the divorce.
They withdraw the cash and *for some stupid reason* are counting it on the living room table. *Who does that?* Med school tells her that she should not rush into the divorce and fight for her marriage. she agrees and decides to give her marriage another shot.

At the divorce hearing… Kelly decides to deposit the money back into Jason’s account and withdraw her petition for divorce. As for Jason, it’s a little too late as he decides that since she didn’t accept his grand gesture than he wants to go through with the original divorce petition. He feels that she had her chance to make amends and work it out but she would rather see him living in the streets and being disrespected by her family. He also asks for full custody because Kelly was cheating on him, and he has pics of her with Joe to prove it. When she comes back that he was also cheating and the only proof was Brittany, he hits back asking her if she would put that poor little girl on the stand like that? They take a short break so Kelly can get herself together.

Back at Malik’s crib… Malik sets up an interview with Kevin Hart to talk about him winning the super bowl, being married and his future. Kevin asks about the rumors of the marriage being a fake, when Malik doesn’t answer they move on but he quickly comes back to the rumors and tells that it was fake and just to help relaunch her career. He kicks him out after that, without answering anymore questions. *something about this interview is fishy*

After a short break Jason and his lawyer come back into the conference room to continue the proceedings. This time Kelly is a little more cool headed. She asks for $30 million and full custody. When asked what makes them think they can even ask for such a crazy offer, she hits back with one word. Steroids. * Ah man damn!!!* Thus ending this week’s episode.

Okay so let’s start with Malik and Robin. Robin seems mighty controlling, I mean how long did she actually think this would last? How many years did she expect to live this charade? Come on. I like the fact that Malik put it out there in that interview that he arranged. I believe he arranged it just so that he could announce that the whole marriage was a fraud.
Now on to the main story of this week, Jason and Kelly. Wow. I mean that’s the first thing that comes to mind. Wow. They were not to high on my list of interesting story lines before, heck Tasha and Rick Fox were higher on my list than they were. After this week’s episode I’m more interested in how this is going to turn out. That was a pretty grand gesture he made with the cars and gifts, especially for someone that is so cheap! I don’t feel that money can buy a relationship, but in their case I understand why he made money such an issue in the gesture. She admitted that she married him for the money and that the money is what drove them apart so as a sign he gave her full control and the money that she wanted. I guess she thought that if she strolled in there and decided to withdraw her petition, after crushing him and not accepting his apology and gifts, then everything would be okay. Um, nope sorry it doesn’t work that way. so since she didn’t have a leg to stand on she brings Steroids into the picture. Wow. I knew that would come back to bite him in the ass! I just knew it! And why is he stealing money from Derwin if he has $50 million in the bank? What the hell Jason, is this divorce playing with your mind that bad?
This was a great show to start the new year with. They are finally making Jason and Kelly’s relationship interesting, too bad one of them, or possibly both, won’t be with the show any longer if they get a divorce. I wonder what they’ll have him doing when he transitions out of football? Hmm…

Barack The Magic Negro?!

Okay so I heard this song a little bit ago as it was making it’s way around youtube and emails and I have to say it’s pretty offensive on many levels to many people. I understand that this is a satirical piece (similar to the cover of  The New Yorker, with Barack dressed like Osama Bin Laden and Michelle as Angela Davis, months ago). I get that it’s supposed to be offensive and cause a stir, but when is offensive too offensive? when do we realize that even though controversy sells, it lowers our image and integrity. Come on people, we have to wisen up a bit. It’s a new day.

(Shouts to BJ for the video)

Now on to this guy

Larry Elder.
I have seen this guy around quite a bit on these news channels and it’s always the same. He’s an ass. Bottom line, no way around it. He’s written a few books (which I won’t plug by name or supply a website for to support) that I guess makes him feel he’s an expert on things. He’s a black republican, which I have no problem with. Heck, I’m a black libertarian/independent. But I mention that he is a black republican because it seems to me that in his eyes the republican party can do no wrong. At least that’s how it seems to be to me. He calls himself the “Sage from South Central” but seems more like the “Coon from California”.  Dude seems, and his bio shows, highly educated but  like Nana Sincere says ‘you can pay for school, but you can’t buy class”. Honestly, he’s real hit and miss with me though. it’s like he panders to the audience or host as opposed to be real and true to how he really feels about something.

Now back to the video. I understand we live in a politically correct world and that we are way too oversensitive when it comes to any and everything but did that somehow desensitize us? Has oversensitivity actually desensitized us? Hmmm… What I mean by that is, are we the little boy on the mountain? Have we been crying wolf for so long that when something offensive actually comes along that we can’t recognize it for what it really is?

Random Thoughts Of The Day

So I was off from work today and home alone. That is not a good combination, because this gives me time for some deep concentration and thinking. Whenever I do some deep thinking it either goes terribly good or horribly bad. It’s hard to tell. Here are some of the random thoughts that crossed my mind today.

Why is there nothing on daytime television?

Why am I watching something again, that I’ve seen a million times, as if it’s my first time? With suspense and all…

How can I become a critic for real? Like for real, for real.

I really need some more real life friends…

I wonder where my old Air Force friends are right now?

I have a big crush on Kelly Ripa.

Soulja Boy is so aggravating! But I can’t hate on his business .

’09 is mine, leave the hate in ’08… Hmm let’s see if that catches on

I wonder if Law and Order is on? No matter which version, they’re all dope and addictive.

This Neyo Video (Mad) is confusing… Ohhhh!! I get it now. Kinda like that movie Ghost or What Dreams May Come ish.. I guess.

Okay no more ShopNBC today!

This new Scarface (Emeritus) is crack!

Hey That’s Clay ‘Sheeeeeeiiiiiiittt!!’ Davis from ‘The Wire’ on Law and Order Criminal Intent

How come a cop killer is now playing a cop, Mr. Ice T?

If you eat with your mouth open I hope something flies in it and you die! You nasty muhtha fuh!!!

Start planning now for Cropover (Barbados) in August…

My finger looks funny… Hmmm, make an appt tomorrow

Whatever happened to Innocent until proven guilty?

I miss recess.. Heck, I miss elementary school.

Okay that’s enough for today. Since I write everything down or voice record it, I have lots more stashed away.  I just wanted to share a few.

Peace

Thought Of The Day

“I think, therefore I am.” - Rene` Descartes

You are only as good or as bad as you think you are. To be successful at anything you must first convince yourself. Once you convince yourself, the rest is easy.
