Making The Band 4 Season 2 Episode 6
Diddy comes to the house to have a little sit down with the groups. the guys have the majority of the album done out of the three. Donnie needs more vocal work and Diddy is still hot about the girls calling him out about the meeting they had last week. Poor Donnie only has 2 songs done and it’s past the midway point. can you say album pushed back? As soon as he gets in the studio (sounding like a wounded dog) guess what happens? His producer gets pulled out and he has to stop recording. Dawn is hating on Baltimore just because she’s originally from New Orleans and relocated to Baltimore. Now she’s feeling all homesick and reflecting. Diddy decides that he will retire from Making The Band to become a movie star. Whatever. Donnie feels left out because he doesn’t get any studio time and feels like he’s doing everything that’s asked of him. Dawn and Q are being all playful on the patio furniture all lovey dovey and stuff. Just cuteness all around. Next we get the white version with Aubrey and Donnie. She tries to cheer him up, but it seems like she’s rubbing it in his face that they have hotness and he doesn’t. * A little advice for Donnie, don’t listen to Aubrey’s crazy ass about anything! You can go in there demanding stuff if you want. You might get your ass demanded off the label!*. Diddy hooks Donnie up with Seven and they go to work on Donnie’s vibe. Okay Seven is the dude that did all the first Ashanti stuff and when Ja Rule was singing. He’s a little out there, but I went to a school of the arts so I’ve seen this type before. They do good work, but are weird as hell! He reminds me of a mix between Teddy Riley and Prince. He has the look of Teddy but the style of Prince (BTW that was Doc from Prince’s band “The Revolution”, Thanks Cassandra). that song he played “Rolling Stone” is crack!! If Donnie uses that as his vibe I might actually pick up his album. Now Dawn is playing the shocked role about Q wanting to be with her. Clearly she has been in some bad relationships in the past because she doesn’t want to let anyone get close to her heart. Q is obviously Smitten. I can’t believe she’s breaking it off with him! I kind of understand, when you’ve been hurt you don’t want to be hurt again so you shut yourself off emotionally. It’s a gift and a curse. Now Diddy’s not retiring and announces DK in stores March 18th and Day 26 March 25th. No Donnie announcement. Hmmm… I wish I could tell you when it’s slated to drop but my homey swore me to secrecy… sorry.. But let’s just say…. around…. ummm… fallish? That’s it! I can’t speak on it anymore!! Ankh Rha is working with the girls on a little vocal practice and Dawn gets all emotional about what went down with her and Q, but has that invisible wall up to protect her emotions. She is really going through something. The more she sings the more Ankh pulls those feelings out and she becomes less guarded. At least for that minute or so that she was singing. Mike Bivens comes to the house to listen to the guys’ music and give them some advice. Now we’re back to Donnie.. Oh brother.. Donnie voices his concerns to Mike Biv and he gives him a good little pep talk, basically telling him to keep his head up and don’t worry about what the others are doing. Dawn and Q decide to write a song together. He seems to be trying to get her to open up and let her emotions out. Maybe it’ll make the DK album as a bonus track. I am really mad at this dude Seven’s shades. Word of advice- stop wearing shades outside at night and indoors! What the Hell! Okay so he want to be the Timberland to Donnie’s Timberlake. Okay. they made so bangers though. now that Diddy had Seven working with him he might actually do something. Now everybody wants to be down with Donnie. Before they weren’t checking for him now they’re all over the place Donnie = Mike Jones! Who? Mike Jones! Dawn and Q are back to lovey dovey after she opened up a little more to him. they finally kiss and it’s like that cute couple in high school, straight puppy love!
Next Week: Brian and Robert get into it. I know you didn’t think that there would be a season of MTB without somebody fighting.. come on now, this is still MTV.
